Christof Sievernich is a major antagonist in the manga and anime series Monster. He is a follower of Johan Liebert.

He is voiced by Masashi Hironaka in Japanese and Travis Willingham in the dub.

Biography[]

Past[]

Before the events of Monster, Christof's past is unknown. All that is known is that he went to Kinderheim 511, and Christof met Johan who helped him when he was hiding in the kitchen sink cabinet during the riot. Later, the two became friends and made a promise, that they would reunite a decade later.

Another Monster[]

Considering his survival in the main story, it's never explained what happened to him, though he's possible he was arrested or outcasted due to his ties to Johan being exposed.

Personality[]

Christof is shown to be an manipulative person. He enjoys messing with other people's minds, he is smooth talking and charismatic. He is also very calm.

Just like Roberto (who has little redeeming qualities) and unlike Johan (who lacks redeeming qualities), Christof shown to has more redeeming qualities than Roberto since he shown to be much less evil and not that much cruel than the two, he is shown to be honorable since of Tenma's kindness on helping him, as he gave credit to Tenma for saving him. He also said that it was so funny that Tenma wanted to save his life after he hurt him. Christof doesn't understand human emotions at all, due the irreversible brain damage he faced from the experiments from Kinderheim 511, Christof is possibly shown be affable.

Trivia[]

  • Christof's ultimate fate is left unknown when he was in the hospital, but it's possible that he was arrested for his involvement with Johan or he possibly made a Heel-Face Turn and redeemed himself. However in Another Monster, it's confirmed he's alive, but it's never stated if he was arrested or redeemed. Though it's possible he might ended up as an outcast.
  • Christof is the only subordinate of Johan Liebert to survive the events of the series.
