“ | I believe in God, too. But my God is a god of vengeance. And He punished evil. Been in it for a long time. And when He can’t do it himself, He sends in vessels to execute His justice. The Lord spoke to me, Dahmer. He asked me to punish you for all them innocent lives you took and them families you destroyed. You may convince yourself that God has forgiven you. But you can never escape God’s wrath. It always catches up with you. Always. See, Dahmer? I’m his vessel. Understand? | „ |

Christopher J. Scarver Sr. is a major antagonist in the Netflix series Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story. He is based on the convicted murderer who killed Jeffrey Dahmer and Jesse Anderson for their crimes against the Black community.
He was portrayed by Furly Mac in his first villainous role.
Biography[]
Pre-Imprisonment[]
Scarver was born on July 6, 1969, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He attended James Madison High School, but dropped out in the 11th grade. He was eventually kicked out of his home by his mother for being an alcoholic. He was hired as a carpenter at a Wisconsin Conservation Corps job program and was promised by his supervisor, Edward Patts, that upon completion of this program he would be hired full-time. During this time, he was diagnosed with schizophrenia and began suffering messianic delusions, hearing angelic voices calling him the "Chosen One".
On June 1, 1990, he held his supervisor at gunpoint, demanding a higher wage, and shot him dead when he said that he did not have the authority to pay him more. He later shot him again before his other supervisor, Feyen, gave him a $3,000 check. He was convicted and sentenced to life in prison in Columbia Correctional Institution in Portage, Wisconsin, in 1992.
Imprisonment[]
In prison, he becomes a devout Christian and is a recurring visitor of the prison's church. On November 28, 1994, he is assigned work detail at his prison's gym, along with Jesse Anderson, a man who killed his wife and tried to frame two Black men, and serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer, who particularly disgusts Scarver for having raped and murdered several boys and young men of color. After they are left unsupervised, Scarver fatally beats Anderson with a mop in the bathroom. He then begins to make his way to Dahmer, condemning him for his crimes. Dahmer justifies himself by saying that God has saved and forgiven him, but Scarver replies that his God - "the God of Vengeance" - would never forgive Dahmer and had made Scarver the instrument of His divine retribution. He then beats Dahmer to death with the gym's metal exercising equipment. He receives an extended sentence for his double homicide.
Trivia[]
- Scarver killed Dahmer by bludgeoning him to death with exercising equipment, the same way Dahmer killed his first victim, Steven Hicks.
- Scarver is often labeled as a hero for killing Jeffrey Dahmer and Jesse Anderson, serving justice for the victims they killed, including Dahmer's murder of a 14-year-old boy. However, prior to that, Scarver had also killed an innocent person at his job due to not being paid enough, which was what landed Scarver in prison, thus proving that Christopher Scarver was less of a hero, and more of a hypocrite.
