Christopher Phillip Unwin, known as Kristoff Darwin, is a minor character in Stephen King's It and its 2019 film adaption IT: Chapter 2.
Chris appears to have a more innocent disposition than his other two buddies, John "Webby" Garton and Steven Dubay, who have a tendency to be quite corrupt and unethical. Chris also appears to be aware of his faults and sins. Being only fifteen years old, he is also one of the three youngest. He nonetheless took part in Adrian Mellon's brutal assault, a crime against homosexuality committed despite his clearly stated values. Adrian is eventually thrown over the canal bridge by Chris, Garton, and Dubay, where he is said to die.
Chris stated that he saw a clown under the bridge bite into Adrian's armpit and drag him away when being questioned by detective Andrew Rademacher. He observes the clown's sneer as well. Although he claimed to have seen a violent clown under the bridge, no mention of a clown was made in the courtroom. In South Windham Boys' Training Facility for six months after being convicted guilty of second-degree murder.
2019[]
In Chapter 2 of IT, Chris Unwin is a character. As Adrian and Don depart the Canal Days Festival, Chris makes fun of them; he subsequently helps Webby, Steven, and an unnamed bully beat them mercilessly. As a train approaches the neighboring railroad bridge, Chris flees.
