~ Mills denying that he was going to use misoprostol on his girlfriend |
Charles "Chuck" Mills is the main antagonist of the Law & Order: Special Victims Unit episode "Gray". He is a college student who rapes a female classmate and murders his pregnant girlfriend.
He was portrayed by Charlie Barnett.
Biography[]
Early life[]
Mills was previously involved with Carla Vincent, whom he impregnated. Not wanting to be a parent, Mills gave her a cocktail of abortion chemicals to kill the baby, telling her it was an aphrodisiac. The cocktail ended up killing her.
"Gray"[]
Mills is first seen at a rape survivor seminar and was accused by a female student of rape. Detective Elliot Stabler of the NYPD's Special Victims Unit, who was speaking at the event, noticed the argument and detained Mills in front of the other students.
When questioned, Mills denies the allegations against him, and states that his accuser had made a website accusing him of things he had not done. SVU discover Carla who was obsessed with him but reveal the love potion. Carla is soon persuaded to testify against Chuck after being told how he doesn't care for her. However, she fails to show up and the case is dismissed.
That night, he goes to a bar to celebrate his freedom when Stabler and his partner, Detective Olivia Benson, arrive with Assistant District Attorney Sonya Paxton in tow and proceed to arrest him. Mills protests that Carla didn't show up at trial before Stabler tells him that she died as a result of the "love potion" he gave her. Mills was shocked by this news, as a satisfied Paxton states she got her winning case after all because this increases the charges against him to manslaughter. Mills' friends were horrified and watched as he was hauled off to answer for his crimes.
