Chungshik Lee is a major antagonist in the survival horror web-manwha Forest of Humans, created by Junho Hwang.
He is a demented child murderer who was one of the ten death row convicts chosen to be experimented on at the facility, before he is broken out and attempts to escape.
Personality[]
Chungshik shows to a very sick individual who shows no remorse for any actions he committed. In his initial interview, he declares himself still a good person despite his horrific actions of child murder. He shows to hate being talked down to, subtle threatening Junho Park when he begins ordering people around and when realizing he was planning on killing them all, he attempts to convince the others to join his side.
It’s revealed later that Chungshik’s immorality has gone into a horrific degree, revealing to be a pedophile who, due to being a Christian and that Jesus forgave a criminal in the cross, he’s clear to do whatever he wants without any problems. With that, he sadistically murders seven kids, filming their despair and tears for him to please himself later. Even after his arrest, he’s devoutly believes he’s a good person as he begs to be salvaged and saved from the other convicts.
At the end, Chungshik proved himself to be a complete coward, pathetically begging to survive and asking what he did to deserve this, ironically echoing the pleading of his victims. When realizing that he will not live, he turns the knife on himself to prevent a worst fate.
Biography[]
Chungshik Lee was a Christian man who believed that, since Jesus Christ forgave a sinner on the cross, he’s freed to commit horrific actions with impunity. He killed seven kids in his murder spree, tying them up as he filmed them in despair and pleading for their lives before brutally killing them, later masturbating to the snuff films he made.
He was convicted and sent to death row, where he and nine other convicts were chosen to be placed in a facility to be experimented on before executed. During his interview, Chungshik denies being a bad person, claiming he done good things for years and that they will always focus on the bad things a person does instead of the good. Chungshik was freed by Hyeseon Kim after she released all the convicts, apart from Gihwan Kang, and they all massacre the staff, with Chungshik showing particular enjoyment killing them.
Chungshik works with the others in finding Ru Ha and when discovering Jaejun’s betrayal and Bohyeon’s corpse, he was placed in a group with Gyeongshik Kim, Chungil Ji and Giwung Kim to find them. Chungshik showed visible annoyance in being bossed around and tells Junho not to be comfortable acting as a leader. Later he, alongside the others, find Yeongsuk’s corpse, and realizes that Junho and Hyeseon are planning on killing them.
Junho attempts to get Gyeongshik, Chungil and Giwung on his side as he declares that they’ll kill Junho, Hyeseon as well as Ru Ha and Jaejun before escaping to commit more crimes. However, Jaejun cuts the power and Gyeongshik senses Cheongshik’s fear and the three of them immediately turn on him, chasing him through the facility.
Chungshik is cornered in a room and is hiding around a corner as Giwung finds him, with Chungshik praying for his saftey. When Giwung bangs on the wall and Gyeongshik and Chungil come in, Chungshik immediately screams for mercy and asks why they are doing this to him, and Gyeonshik simply asks if those words sound familiar. Chungshik is horrified realizing that those are the exact same words his victims were saying to him before he killed them all. When Gyeongshik simply asks how it feels for him to be saying those words now, Chungshik realizes that he has nowhere else to go, thinking “People always say those words, when they’ve come to the end.” and he proceeds to stab himself in the neck with the knife, killing himself as a pathetic coward.
