The Church of Malthus, also known as the CoM for short, are major antagonists of the RPC Authority mythos. They are a hostile organization that wants to bring about a new age of human evolution through extreme methods and means, resulting the Church to be labeled as openly hostile by various international governments anomalies agencies, and other groups of interests. The Church is mostly made up by various scientists of different scientific branches, individuals that can create or control RPCs, and their own military force.
History[]
Foundation and Beliefs[]
According to the Authority via Agency of Interest VSSP, the Church of Maltus was founded in the 1800s by English scholar Thomas Malthus through his malthus theory, in which he explains that one day humanity will overpopulated and weak to carry one and survive. But through the evolution of modifying human DNA in anomalous science, it can increase the survivability of the human race, and believe that the current form of humanity is diseased that must be cure through the extent of evolving their DNA to become into the perfect beings for Humanity's best interests, and is the sole reason for them to capture and use anomalies to help fulfilled their goals.
Negotiations and Declaration of War with the RPC Authority[]
After it founding the Church of Malthus went on to negotiate with the Authority about their beliefs and potential to create the perfect evolution form for Humanity with anomalous research and development. They ask if they can keep and use any captured for their purposes. However the Authority and all other agencies rejected to this, and tensions would reach to boiling point in the late summer of 1921, in which the Church of Maltus would declare war to the Authority, stating that they'll destroy the Authority for refusing to use RPC anomalies and objects for the better of humanity's evolution, and that Authority was responsible for the Outbreak of World War 1 and did nothing to stop it resulting in anomalies to be used or escape causing greater loss of human life. They end their statement claiming that the Authority is guilty of all their crimes against the Church's beliefs and that no god may have mercy on the Authority.
Current Activities[]
Today, the Church of Malthus runs their research and experimentations in secret, and the Authority has label them as a Hostile Group of Interest for their commitment to destroy the human population with different anomalies evolution of humanity. Furthermore, the Church has been known to commit various acts of terrorism and criminal activities via usage of anomalies causing other agencies and groups of interests across the world to have issue with this and confront members for termination. With the Authority giving orders to capture, interrogate, or kill on sight any Church of Malthus members, with hostile relations still ongoing to this day.
Incident Site-009-1[]
The most notable being Incident Site-009-1, when the Church launched a full-scale attack on the Authority's Site-009 to retrieve any individuals that had connections with the Church, by using six VOTLs that had been stolen earlier on Site-007 via undercover Church member task to steal the VOTLs. Once they arrive at Site-009 with no resistance to their arrival and would enter Site-009. There the Church's personal would unleash their attack on the Authority, with protection personals claim that some the Church's personal weren't human and where modified taking a heavy toll on the Authority's protection personal. The Church's attack would had been successful, however their attack would eventually fail when an they where attacked by Amazing! Co. created RPC-158-1 when it felt threaten by the Church's personal. RPC-158-1 charged towards the Church's personal inflicted a heavy toll on the attackers, resulting in the remaining Church personal to retreat. In the aftermath of the incident the Authority decided to order all Protection divisions to work endlessly to ensure that the same incident is not repeated and that to have better monitoring all hostile Group of Interest's activities and potential agents that can pose a threat to the Authority and the world.
A possible alliance with the Children of Nihil[]
During the Authority's investigation on the another Hostile GoI known as the Children of Nihil. The Authority was informed by GoI Omega-Iota that member of Children of Nihil's Aegean-Egyptian Occult sect where attacking Omega-Iota bases and releasing captured members of the Church with the help of various Ricmodist, Greek, and Slavic sects. This resulted in the Authority to question if the Church of Malthus and Children of Nihil are working together to benifit thier goals or if the Children of Nihil is only breaking out Church members to keep various GoIs and AoIs off their backs from stopping their plan in causing the Apocalypse.
List of RPCs used, created, or interested by the Church of Malthus[]
- RPC-130: RPC-130 is an alpha orange anomolous televison channel designated RPC-130-1 and located in Massachusetts. The anomolous effect only affects children and pregant women near by, when a tv is tuned to RPC-130's broadcasting. This can result in the child or fetus to disappear from reality and reappear in the broadcast as RPC-130-3 instances. RPC-130 was recovered by the Authority on July 14, 1986 in the town of Athol, Massachusetts, after reports surfaced of eleven miscarriages resulting nine deaths of the mothers, and three new borns infants disappeared. During the Authority's invastigation on the matter, they discovered that the Church has acquired RPC-130 and employed it a hazard.
- RPC-183: RPC-183 is a beta-orange anomolious humanoid that is capable of performing successful living saving surgeries to any individual, with some bodily alerations through unknown methods. During one of RPC-183's weekly vists in the public, the Church's personal killed the Authority's security personal guarding RPC-183, and for the Church's personal to kidnapped RPC-183. After five minutes of the security not answering on RPC-183's where abouts, the Authority deployed an MST team to recovered RPC-183, where they found RPC-183 on the outskirts of town and the Church's personal, resulting the MST to succesfully recovered RPC-183 and terminate all Church personal involved.
