The Churel is an antagonist in Las Leyendas: Creaturas Ocultas. She is a Indian demoness who absorbs the youth of her victims to whom she draws her attention, disguising herself as a beautiful and young maiden, catching them off guard and leaving them aged.
Appearance[]
Young[]
The Churel appears as a rather beautiful young woman of Hindi descent, with braided black hair, red eyes, dark grey skin, sharp teeth and claws, and black lips. She wears a long Hindi dress the same color as her skin with a veil covering her head and Hindu gems on her neck, head, and ears.
Old woman[]
In her true form, Churel looks like a gaunt, hunched, and white-haired old woman. Her limbs are more animalistic, being ape-like due to the presence of fur. Her fingernails become abnormally elongated, while her feet gain shorter claws. Other than that, her other characteristics do not change.
Personality[]
Like many other monsters, the Churel is a being with a personality that is guided solely by instinct, being a ruthless and cruel being that stops at nothing to get what it wants.
Powers and Abilities[]
The Churel stalks the living, sucking their life energy until they're left old and haggard. The only way to reverse this is to destroy the Churel, and she doesn't make it easy.
The Churel, while nearly impossible to defeat, does have a weakness. A specific sequence of flashing colored lights (Red, Blue, Red, Blue, Purple, Yellow, Green, & Gold). And then to finish off the fight, Green, Red, Blue, & Orange. can freeze the demoness in place, leaving her heart open to attack. Only by destroying the heart, does Team Legend destroy the Churel and revert her victims to their proper ages.
Biography[]
When people made preparations for the Diwali festival one of the children lost his sparkler in an alley, running into an unknown woman whom he mistook for the goddess Lakshmi, but she only limited herself to looking at him maliciously, taking the boy's youth and transforming him into an old man. In another part of the market, Leo and his friends head towards the main square to look for Evaristo (a tall alebrije, which can translate the strange symbols from Godofredo's diary), but in the passage they meet a lot of aging children, because of Churel fault.
Due to a dispute between cousins, Evaristo has Alebrije and his friends imprisoned in the dungeon, awaiting their sentence from Rendfield. Opening a door, from afar a figure with luminous eyes can be seen: in the case of none other than Churel, in search of new victims. Imprisoned by the shackles, Leo and his friends successfully escape, buying time to run around while dropping stones on top of the demon. Reaching the sewers, the group jumps through a tube that leads to the outside, except for Leo who stayed behind trying to convince Teodora to escape by that only route. Staying behind, Leo was grabbed by The Churel and turned him into a decrepit old man, therefore: they needed to find a way to kill the creature. In a simultaneous period Don Andrés recalled that the, most effective way to end her: is distracting with a sequence of multi-colored lights and shooting an arrow in her heart.
Following in Renfield's footsteps, they find him inside his mansion, with Godofredo's diary, in which The Churel intervenes, although she is provoked by Teodora and chases her out of the enclosure. In the direction of the plaza, Teodora leads Churel to the trap she forged with her friends; diverting her attention to the fireworks they light. Don Andrés, remembering the correct sequence, manage to incapacitate the monster from moving and shoot one last firework in the heart. Putting an end to the creature, its curse is reversed and to those who grew old it returns its youth.
