You're dressed like his friends. I don't like liars.
~ Cindy talking to The Boys.

Cindy is a minor antagonist of the 2019 Amazon TV adaptation comic book series The Boys.

She is a former patient of Sage Grove Center and a powerful Supe with telekinetic abilities and extreme durability, whom later escaped from the facility and was dubbed the "Homicidal Hitchhiker". After President Steven Calhoun deputizes supes under Homelander's leadership, she is recruited to capture the Boys.

She is portrayed by Ess Hödlmoser.

Biography[]

Background[]

Nothing is known of Cindy's past, but she was sent to the Sage Grove Center as a test subject for Vought-International in stabilizing Compound V.

The Boys[]

Season Two[]

During the Boys' infiltration of the grove center to gather information, Cindy's cell door is burned by Lamplighter during his scuffle with Frenchie. Upon escaping, she speaks with Lamplighter and Mother's Milk, accusing the latter of being of liar before being shot by a security guard. She then proceeds to kill the guard with her telekinesis and lets out all of the patients in the center as she roams the area. At the exit, Mother's Milk attempts to smoke her out with a gas canister, but she destroys it before being knocked down by Stormfront. However, Cindy managed to escape from Sage Grove at some point and started to hitchhike.

Season Four[]

After Homelander becomes the de-facto leader of the United States, Cindy is one of the many supes whom is deputized as a superhero and sent to capture the Boys. Locating Hughie Campbell and Starlight, she sends a ship into the road, causing the two to crash and allow Vought security to capture them. While Hughie is apprehended, Starlight flies into the sky before Cindy is able to kill her.

Powers and Abilities[]

  • Telekinesis: Cindy has powerful telekinetic abilities, using them in a variety of ways, such as blowing up a person, breaking all the metal doors in the Asylum, and throwing a ship towards Annie and Hughie.
  • Superhuman Durability: She is completely bulletproof, demonstrating immense durability. She was also able to survive a blast of Stormfront's eletrokinesis.
  • Superhuman Hearing: Being a Supe, she can hear higher frequencies than humans.

Trivia[]

  • Cindy's appearance and powers bares resemblance to Eleven from Netflix's Stranger Things.
  • A popular theory was that Cindy was Vought's assassin, and was using her telekinetic abilities to explode their enemies' heads. This was debunked when the actual assassin was revealed to be the hemokinetic Victoria Neuman.
