Good and evil can never mix!
~ Cindy Struction

Cindy Struction is a minor recurring villain from the Teletoon animated series, Sidekick. She is the villainous mother of Mandy Struction, who lives on the evil side of Splittsboro. She is primarily concerned with keeping her daughter away from the path of goodness so that she can someday grow up to be a villainous henchman. However, this is troublesome for her, given that Mandy is dating superhero sidekick, Eric Needles. She first appeared in "Eric-o and Mandy-et".

She was voiced by Kathryn Greenwood.

Biography[]

Although she did not appear in "Match Dot Con", Cindy was mentioned when Mandy told Eric that she needed to call her mom and tell her that she made it to Splittsboro Academy safely.

Cindy Struction made her first official on-screen appearance in "Eric-o and Mandy-et", where Mandy Struction came home one night after a date with Eric, to see her mom, Cindy Struction, who was very mad with her, demanding to know where she was all night. Mandy lied and said she was volunteering at the supervillain old age home and Cindy told Mandy that while she appreciated her lying, she still demanded the truth. When Mandy admitted she was going out with Eric, Cindy told her that Eric was a good influence on her and she wouldn't allow it. She stressed how good and evil were never meant to mix and that she forbade her to ever see Eric again. Cindy decided the best option to take in this situation would be to teach Mandy just how great it is to be evil, by throwing her a huge coming out party to introduce her to the evil elite.

At Mandy's coming out party, Cindy had villains invited over, far and wide. However, she noticed that Mandy wasn't happy. Cindy tried to cheer her up by giving her a Destructo-Ray of her very own, which Mandy greatly appreciated and used to blow a bunch of people and things up. However, Mandy still left with Eric, when he showed up at the party. When Cindy noticed their absence, she and the other villains banded together to hunt them down. At the same time, Maxum Brain and all of the heroes of Splittsboro also chased them down to find them, with both opposing sides having the shared goal of preventing each other from mixing with themselves.

Cindy and the villains, as well as Maxum Brain and the heroes, finally tracked Eric and Mandy down to XOX's secret hideout, to find them both frozen solid in ice together, supposedly deceased. Everyone was emotionally moved by the tragic scene of their loved ones being gone forever and decided that maybe good and evil could get along after all. It would then be revealed that Eric and Mandy were just faking being frozen to prove a point. They revealed themselves to still be alive and well as they laughed in the faces of the people they tricked. This caused everyone to do a complete 180 and go back to hating each other again. They also took out all of their anger on Eric, pummeling him mercilessly.

In "For Real Estate", Cindy was one of the villains, who was looking to buy the Maxum Mansion from Flo Closure. However, she had lots of competition with other villains such as Master XOX, Brute Brutal, and Mint Condition. She was also competing against Maxum Brain and Eric Needles in disguise as Evil McEvil and Bad Guy, Jr., respectively. When their cover was blown, Cindy kicked Maxum Brain in the face. During the bidding wars, Cindy got into a fight with Trevor Troublemeyer, crushing him under a refrigerator. Trevor got her back by eating a ball of gross dirt and mush, which grossed Cindy out so much, that the jumped out the window and forfeit in disgust.

Trivia[]

  • Like her daughter, her name is a pun on the term "Destruction", the crime which she is best known for.
