~ The text on Cindy's teaser. |
Cindy the Cat is a major antagonist in the first two entries of the Five Nights at Candy's series.
She is a cat animatronic from Candy's Burgers and Fries, and the twin sister of Candy the Cat. Like her brother, she is possessed by the ghost of a child who was killed in the Rowboatics Corp factory by the Cat. In Five Nights at Candy's 2, she and the other animatronics have fallen into disrepair from years of disuse.
Appearance[]
Cindy is mostly similar to Candy in terms of appearance. However, unlike Candy, she also has a purple colour scheme, eyelashes, and a pink bow tie. In Five Nights at Candy's 2, when withered, she is missing her left eye and plating on her right arm and left leg.
History[]
Backstory[]
The character of Cindy the Cat was created for the 1987 iteration of Candy's Burgers & Fries. Sometime before the animatronic's debut, the Cat would murder two young children, twins, who were lost inside inside the Rowboatics Corp, by putting them on the conveyor belt. Later on, the souls of the two children would haunt Cindy and the new iteration of Candy.
Five Nights at Candy's[]
Candy and Cindy are hunting down Mary Schmidt for revenge, as on the day they were murdered, Mary was a night guard in the factory and slept on the job during their deaths. The rest, excluding the Rat and Shadow Candy (The Cat's spirit), is hunting her down due to malfunctions.
Cindy will wander throughout the pizzeria before coming over to the office from the right. When she comes to the door, you will be able to see her shining white eyes in the doorframe, warning you to close the door before she gets in and kills you.
Between the Two Games[]
In 1989, Candy and Cindy are gonna get rebuild to newer versions, unlike their companion Chester the Chimpanzee. In 1991, they are introduced to the public, still possessed. One year later, Candy somehow loses his tie and Cindy gets it back.
In 1993, the Rat murders a night guard. Candy is framed and deactivated alongside his fellow robots, with the restaurant closing down once and for all. All the animatronics (except Chester and Old Candy, with the former being in the factory already and the latter being disassembled years ago) are sent to the factory.
Five Nights at Candy's 2[]
14 years later, Mary's daughter Marylin loses a bet with her friend and is forced to stay five nights in the factory. There, she encounters the now-withered Candy, as well as other broken animatronics. Cindy activates on Night 1, and similarly to the others, has to be lured around using phones so she won't get into the office and kill the player.
After Night 6 is completed, the factory burns down and crumbles, presumably destroying Candy and the others.
Five Nights at Candy's 3[]
While Candy himself doesn't appear in this game, a version of him appears in the "Cindy's Garden" minigame, which is a recreation of the classic whack-a-mole.
Trivia[]
- Cindy is the only female animatronic in the Five Nights at Candy's trilogy.
- Alongside Candy, Cindy is one of the only two animatronics to be active on Night 1 of Five Nights at Candy's.
