Cinos the Anti-Sonic is a minor antagonist in Sonic the Hedgehog novel series by Virgin Books, specifically the book Sonic the Hedgehog in the Fourth Dimension. He is an alternate timeline version of Sonic, who was caught up in the ROCC explosion and turned evil like Dr. Robotnik.
Appearance[]
Cinos presumably looks identical to his good self, barring the change in fur color from blue to white and in eye color from black to blue, as well as having his gloves turn green.
Biography[]
To prevent Robotnik from rewriting history to his benefit, Sonic and Tails travelled to the point in time right before Kintobor turned into him, averting the catastrophe. This, however allowed the Mythos Creatures to get ahold of the Chaos Emeralds and use them to alter the Big Bang, causing the universe to be filled with chaos since its very beginning. To prevent this from happening, Sonic and Tails travelled to that point in time again, this time stopping their past selves from saving Kintobor. In this timeline, however, not only Kintobor, but Sonic as well was caught up in the ROCC explosion, warping his body and mind into a villain calling himself "Cinos the Anti-Sonic". He fought against two versions of Tails, and easily overcame them. Sonic had to merge with Cinos by coming into physical contact with him, even though he risked letting his personality take over. This didn't happen, however, with the merged Sonic retaining his good nature.
Trivia[]
- Although Cinos doesn't appear in any official illustrations, fans had created their own art of him based on his description by the narration.
