Cipher is the main antagonist in the 2017 action film The Fate of the Furious, the eighth installment of the Fast & Furious series. She is a powerful cyber-terrorist mastermind who manages to corrupt Dominic Toretto into betraying his family and working for her by kidnapping his former love interest, Elena Neves, and their son, Brian Marcus (which Dom never knew about).

She is portrayed by Charlize Theron, who also portrayed Queen Ravenna in Snow White and the Huntsman.

Trivia

• It is revealed that she was the Bigger Bad for both Fast & Furious 6 and Furious 7, having hired antagonists, Owen Shaw and Mose Jakande. Essentially, she is the true Bigger Bad of the entire film series.
