Circe is the secondary antagonist in Season 1 of the 2024 adult animated series Creature Commandos, the first installment of the DC Universe.
She is the banished Amazonian sorceress from the legendary island of Themyscira who seeks to overthrow Ilana Rostovic to supposedly claim the throne of Themyscira. However in reality, it is to prevent her cataclysmic regime and taking over over the world.
She is portrayed by Anya Chalotra, as her first villainous role.
Biography[]
Backstory[]
Her backstory hasn't been fully revealed yet. Assumably would be partly based on her origins within the original and comic counterpart. It is assumed she was banished from the island of Themyscira for her radical beliefs, leading to A.R.G.U.S. to believe she sneaks to takeover Themyscira.
Some point before the event of Creature Commandos, she got a vision from the dark future of what would happen if Ilana Rostovic gains the throne of her nation. Which depicts her takeover of several nations, alongside with Gorilla Grodd and the brutal impalement of multiple DC superheroes. This would lead her to found the Sons of Themyscira, promising them the false promise of the take over of the island.
Creature Commandos[]
Promising the terrorist group that once the downfall of Pokolistan is achieved, she will lead them to conquer Themyscira. The group later violently crossed the border into Pokolistan with her.

After Circe was defeated by Task Force M, she was incarcerated at Belle Reve and interrogated by Amanda Waller. To explain her attempt to kill princess Rostovic was to "save the world", Circe used her clairvoyant abilities to show a disturbing vision of the dystopian future where the princess and Gorilla Grodd used their army of Amethyst Knights to conquer the world, slaughtering and impaling countless heroes and causing a genocide in the process. Although initially skeptical, Waller believed her.

- Leadership: Circe is shown to have general leadership skills as she founded the terrorist organization of Sons of Themyscira. She is also shown to have knowledge of battlement strategy, as she used the Bride and Mermaid as a distraction for the remaining Creature Commandos rather than killing them for standing in her way.

- Seduction: She uses her beauty and charisma to gather a group of terminally online "involuntary celibate" men to work for her, and as stated by Waller as being a "sexed-up/attractive" supervillain.

- Dark Magic: Circe is a ancient Amazonian sorceress, known for being a powerful clairvoyant. She has great knowledge about dark and forbidden magic and has a large arsenal of spells, curses and magical traps. She was capable of manipulating magic for a variety of effects, such as casting spells and manipulating matter. However, she needs her hands to cast her spells.
- Immortality: As a amazon, Circe is able to live far beyond a normal human lifespan. She is not subject to disease or old age and has the potential to live forever.
- Transmutation: Circe has the ability to transform any object or being into something else.
- Energy Projection: Circe is able to release and project powerful purple energy blasts from her hands
- Teleportation: Circe can teleport herself over great distances with ease.
- Flight: Circe can use her powers to fly.
- Telekinesis: As a sorceress, Circe can move objects with her mind.
- Psychic abilities: Circe can implant her visions into the subconscious of others.
- Precognition: She also has precognition ability, allowing her to foreseen in the future.
