Sharon "Cissy" Saint was a charachter in the FX tv show Snowfall.

She is portayed by Michael Hyatt.

Biography

Cissy lived with her family and brother Jerome Saint until she married Alton with whom she had a son Franklin Saint and then divorced in Los Angeles after he ended up in the Black Panthers leaving them and then becoming a habitual drunk. She raised Franklin alone living in the neighborhood with Jerome Saint, Louanne Saint, Leon Simmons and many others. Jerome was a drug dealer but despite this Cissy tolerated him and loved him trying to help him. Franklin with time grew up and left her life to take up a life of crime after some events. With time Cissy recovered in a moment of weakness with Alton however the latter became more and more suspicious of his son's activities warning him that Teddy McDonald being a federal agent was a threat to the family. Alton decided to incriminate Teddy by going on the radio but ended up being forced to go on vacation to Cuba with Cissy by Franklin and Teddy where he was later killed. Cissy met Rubén, a KGB agent who helped her with her revenge, but first she decided to meet Teddy's collaborator, Franklin, who had now left the collaboration with the latter who went to work with Louanne and stole their offshore accounts. Ruben and Franklin worked to capture Teddy. Cissy, looking for revenge, however, changed her mind when Franklin and Oso captured Ruben and Teddy and together with Leon tortured the latter to get the money. Now a terrified Cissy wants to try to get out of it and make Franklin change his mind, but the latter says he is already a murderer and that it was too late, seeing him so corrupted by money, he no longer recognizes in his son what he was in the past and leaves, not before trying to understand what happened to Alton from Teddy. Cissy will then go to a meeting with Franklin, Teddy and her boss to get the money back, but after discovering that Teddy had killed Alton, she killed him, Cissy was then arrested and said goodbye to Franklin. Now in prison he will talk to all the visitors except Franklin with whom he will never speak again.

Personality

Cissy has a delusional and protective personality towards her family especially her son, after the death of her husband Alton at the hands of Teddy. Cissy in order to help and protect Franklin deludes herself that the right thing to do is to help Franklin with his criminal empire.

Why Cissy killed Teddy

Cissy killed Teddy McDonald for two main reasons the first was the sudden and uncontrollable rage caused by Teddy's revelation where she even mocked Alton for his death, Cissy hated Teddy from the beginning for his behavior because according to Cissy, Teddy saw her as nothing as an insignificant woman who did not represent any threat and seeing Teddy who with no remorse said that he killed Alton as if it were a normal and ordinary thing looking at her with contempt as if she did not exist started the rage that ended with her pulling the trigger. the second reason why Cissy killed Teddy is that she wanted to try to stop her son from becoming the greedy monster that Cissy didn't know he had already become, after seeing that Franklin threw himself on Teddy's body for the money Cissy had understood that her son was dead and by now she had killed him along with Teddy and there was no other way in which she could have saved him because Franklin was already lost he had become a ruthless murderer, blinded by money and without remorse he was no longer the son she had raised. In the end Franklin never gave up revenge while Cissy was able to move on and forget about revenge failing to save Franklin.
