The Clan Leader is the overarching antagonist of the Chekered Ninja franchise.

He was the leader of a clan, who betrayed Taiko Nakamura and sent samurai to kill him for money, causing the children that he was protecting to be killed and him becoming a vengeful spirit.

Biography

The Clan Leader brought Checkered Ninja and the children he was protecting when an army raided the village he was into a house in the middle of the forest, only for him to bring sixteen samurai to kill him. While Nakamura was able to kill the samurai, he got heavily injured and the house that the children were in was burned.

Taiko then swore revenge and killed himself so he could get revenge on the traitor and become a spirit. Taiko would then go to the town the clan leader was in and stabbed him to death with ten swords, with his guards getting shocked after finding his body.

The Clan Leader's actions are responsible for why Taiko Nakamura became a spirit set on killing those who hurt children and is the reason why he became obsessed with killing Philip Eppermint for murdering a child by beating him to death.
