The Clan of Darkness is an antagonistic faction from the Ys franchise.
Members[]
Canon[]
- Dalles: A leading member who, alongside Cain Fact, was responsible for the demon attacks that killed off half the population of Ys.
- Kishgal: A tall muscular man who worked as muscle for Dalles. His weapon of choice is a halberd.
- Epona: One of the Darklings working under Dalles. Her primary weapon of choice is a trident.
- Zava: A sorceress under the employ of Dalles. She was one of two members, alongside Dalles, to hail from Ys II. She does not take kindly to demons she was fond of being slain.
- Gruda: A leading member of the Clan of Darkness who had supposed loyalty to Eldeel, but this was ultimately an act.
- Gadis: One of Gruda's subordinates who, in past versions of Ys IV, held an axe as a weapon.
- Bami: One of Gruda's subordinates who, in past versions of Ys IV, had the ability to turn people into monsters.
Non-Canon[]
- Arem: Appearing in Ys IV: The Dawn of Ys, he is the true master of the Clan of Darkness in the Hudson Soft continuity who desired vengeance on Lefance for his defeat by seeking the extinction of all living things.
- Dark Knight: Appearing in Ys IV: Mask of the Sun, he is an unnamed centaur-like knight who was dispatched by Gruda to raid Esteria and find the Eye of the Moon.
- Beast Master: Appearing in Ys IV: Mask of the Sun, this unnamed knight intervened in Adol's attempt to save Lillia from the Clan of Darkness. Although the knight was defeated, Bami still stopped Adol from saving Lillia.
