Claudius is a major antagonist in the second season of LEGO DREAMZzz and will return as the main antagonist of the third season.
He is a resident of Brooklyn who found himself in Wildoria after passing through a rift. There, he came across the Crown of Control, which he used to dominate all the animals in Wildoria and became their king.
He is voiced by Giles Panton, who also voiced Kalmaar in LEGO Ninjago: Masters of Spinjitzu and Rapton in LEGO Ninjago: Dragons Rising.
History[]
Season 2: Night of the Never Witch[]
Not much is known about Claudius' past, other than the fact that he is a citizen of Brooklyn. Following the invasion of the Waking World by the Nightmare King, Claudius stumbled upon a rift that served as a gateway to the Dream World. Venturing through the rift, he found himself in Wildoria, a Dream Realm inhabited by various creatures. There, Claudius came across the Crown of Control, a powerful artifact that enabled him to dominate the local fauna, compelling them to revere him as their sovereign ruler.
One day, Claudius had the Dream Animals were constructing a temple in his honor. As he observed the scene, he spotted Cooper, Logan, and Zoey, fellow Dreamers who filled him with joy at their presence. Eager to connect, Claudius invited them to join him as guests and have dinner. However, the Dream Chasers cautioned him about the looming threat of the Never Witch, who intended to seize the Crown of Control to cast a spell that would unravel the Dream World. Dismissing their concerns, Claudius was far more captivated by the allure of other Dream Artifacts that the Never Witch already has. He adamantly refused to abandon Wildoria and return to Brooklyn, which only fueled the frustration of the Dream Chasers, who were dismayed by his domineering behavior towards the Dream Animals, using the Crown of Control to command them. Despite their insistence on retrieving the crown, Claudius stood firm, claiming it was permanently affixed to his head unless he chose to remove it. The Dream Chasers, interpreting his words as mere bravado, departed with plans to reclaim the crown at a later time.
After numerous unsuccessful attempts to seize the Crown of Control, the Dream Chasers resorted to kidnapping Claudius, bringing him back to Brooklyn along with the coveted crown. While Claudius was confined in a sack, he summoned the Dream Animals to pursue the Dream Chasers. Although the Dream Chasers managed to evade the animals, Claudius freed himself from the sack and launched an attack on them using the Crown of Control, causing all but Izzie and Logan to awaken and return to the Waking World. In a desperate effort, Izzie and Logan attempted to shove Claudius into the rift, but it sealed shut at the last moment. At that instant, the Never Witch began enveloping Wildoria in a dome, leaving Claudius in a state of shock and disbelief.
