~ Cleopatra |
Cleopatra Smith is one of the two secondary antagonists (alongside Mr. Butlertron) of the MTV/HBO Max animated series Clone High. She is the teenage clone of the Egyptian queen Cleopatra VII Philopator.
She is voiced by Christa Miller in Season 1, who would voice Candide Sampson in the same show, and Mitra Jouhari in Season 2.
Biography[]
Cleopatra is Abe Lincoln's love interest and Joan of Arc's nemesis. She is the self-proclaimed queen bee of Clone High High School and the affection Abe has for her is one of the recurring plot points throughout Clone High. She is the captain of the cheerleading team and the former student body president. One of the earliest conflicts in the show involves the love triangle between Abe Lincoln, Cleopatra, and JFK. Abe would outcompete JFK and eventually become Cleopatra's boyfriend.
Appearance[]
Cleopatra is a light-skinned black teenage girl, who looks very much like the original Cleopatra, albeit as a teenager. She wears a revealing white tank top, a short black skirt, yellow hoop earrings, a light blue tiara, and black high heels. She also wears heavy makeup, being dark black eyeliner and red lipstick.
Personality[]
Cleopatra is extremely self-centered and cares a great deal about her public image to the point where she got Gandhi, her former foster brother, disowned because she thought that he would tarnish her reputation. She also seems to be extremely manipulative towards Abe Lincoln to the point where she sleep deprived him for days in order for him to help her with a really important test, eating up all of his time to study for the same test.
She is extremely sexually promiscuous, sleeping around a lot even while with somebody in a relationship. Her sexuality is ambiguous as she found the idea of sleeping with Joan of Arc hot but this sudden bisexuality was never brought up later until she became Frida Kahlos' girlfriend.
Despite presenting herself as a superficial bimbo, she is actually quite intelligent and still has the capacity to care for people such as JFK and Abe Lincoln.
Villainous Acts[]
- In "Escape to Beer Mountain: A Rope of Sand", Cleo cheated on JFK with Abe. She later laughed and and bullied Abe for getting non-alcoholic beer for the party. It was also mentioned that Cleo convinced her foster parents to disown her foster brother, Gandhi, because he wasn't good for her image.
- In "Episode Two: Election Blu-Galoo", Cleo used her powers as student body president to build a moat full of piranhas around the special ed classroom and keep the disabled children away from society. Cleo was also worried about how her term as student body president was coming to an end, so she used her feminine charm to turned JFK and Abe into her political puppets and manipulate them into becoming the new student body president, abolishing term limits, and then re-instating her as student body president. She was willing to abandon whichever candidate was losing just so that she could get ahead in the polls.
- In "A.D.D.: The Last D is for Disorder", Cleo covered Joan with a poster for the Awareness Fair and nearly smothered her. Cleo also forced Abe to stop being friends with Gandhi because of the latter's disability.
- In "Sleep of Faith: La Rue D'Awakening", Cleo bossed Abe around and made him stay up all night for a week, helping her study for the PXJTs, as well as doing other ridiculous things like picking up her groceries and taking her cat to the speech therapist, under the false pretenses that she'd have sex with him. She also threatened to break up with him for JFK again if she refused any of her demands. This ultimately led to Abe sleeping through the PXJTs and failing. When Abe failed the test, Cleo was disappointed to see that her boyfriend would likely never go to Clone State with her so she dumped him for JFK anyway, making Abe's work all for naught.
- In "Plane Crazy: Gate Expectations", Cleo cheated on Abe with Ashley Angel from O-Town.
- In "A Room of One's Clone: The Pie of the Storm", Cleo organized an entire pep rally to garner pity for Joan, all just as an elaborate form of bullying her for being homeless. When Joan moved in with her, Cleo abused Joan the entire time in many ways, including smothering her with a pillow, while she was sleeping. She also divided her room in half and went to war with her. During her war, she picked up her cat and threw it at Joan, making her guilty of animal abuse.
- In "Raisin the Stakes: A Rock Opera in Three Acts", Cleo implied that she was going to cheat on Abe with JFK. She also peer-pressured him into smoking raisins with her.
- In "Makeover Makeover Makeover: The Makeover Episode", Cleo robbed a lingerie store at gunpoint.
- In "Sleepover", Cleo attempted to smother Joan to death with a pillow again.
- In "The Crown: Joancoming: It's a Cleo, Cleo, Cleo, Cleo World", Cleo unethically obtained the Stone of Eternal Servitude, which she used to brainwash everyone in the entire school into worshipping her like an idol. During her time as the queen, Cleo had Joan tied up in chains, while she destroyed the entire school and did nothing to clean up after herself.
- In "Saved by the Knoll", Cleo bullied Van Gogh by throwing food at him.
- In "Spring Broken", Cleo and Frida abandoned Abe in the desert and left him for dead.
- In "Bible Humpers: A Much Needed Praycation", Cleo and Frida made a deal with Principal Scudworth, telling him that they'd help him with his evil plan to turn Clone High into a religious school and commit tax evasion, in exchange for him making clones of themselves so that they could blow off doing any work. Cleo and Frida then went around the school, brainwashing tons of other students into following the cult of Christianity with them.
- In "Cyranos: A Portmant-Opus", Cleo bullied her drunk foster mother, by screaming and yelling at her and publicly insulting her in front of everybody at the school. She also bullied Van Gogh at the mall. At the end of the episode, Cleo bullied Frida's foster dad, Mr. Kim and made a huge scene at their house before later dumping Frida.
- In "The Cloniest Place on Earth: Missile While You Work", Cleo planned on escaping Cloney Island with Frida and leaving everyone else to die.
Trivia[]
- Cleopatra hinted at being bisexual in the episode "Sleep of Faith: La Rue D'Awakening", when she considered it to be hot that she almost made out with Joan. This would later be confirmed in Season 2, when she became Frida Kahlo's girlfriend.
