Clovis Bray I is a antagonist in the Destiny universe. He is responsible for the Vex on Europa.
Biography[]
Founding the Clovis Bray Corporation[]
Not much is known about Clovis Bray's life, at some point he founded the Clovis Bray Corporation, which was a pinnacle of the Golden Age. He would make it a family company, and despite this, Clovis wanted to find a way to be immortal, believing that his family name came first. However, even though that sounds selfless, family comes first, it was more darker. When he said preserving the Bray Legacy he meant his legacy. He was noted to hate maps, perhaps due to them ending, reminding him that he has limited time, something he was afraid of.
Journey to Europa and Rebirth[]
Toward the end of his life, Clovis would travel to Europa to catalogue the strange life that existed under the ice and to find out what the K1 Revelation artifact, a large black artifact that if spent too long near, had the possibility to have you see hallucinations and was receiving a strange signal, a team was studying it on the moon but Clovis took it. The Artifacts incoming signal told him to go to Europa, and he would find Clarity Control, a giant veiled statue that was a darkness artifact, it had promised him immortality. He would call his granddaughter, Elsie Bray, who was suffering from fatal insomnia due to his genetic material making the Brays immune to nearly everything, and it caused unknown consequences causing them to inherit a genetic disease that could not be treated due to the immunity.
Clarity Control used Clovis as a pawn, asking him to steal a Vex body to build a Vex gate. He would steal the body. The gate would lead him to a giant forge star that had particle accelerators around it that kept the star alive. The Vex used it as a forge and it was surrounded by mega structures.
