History[]
Early life[]
Arthur Brown was once the host of a popular game show called Quiz Bowl, until he was fired and became a delusional killer who would purposely leave clues for the police to figure out and began calling himself Cluemaster. He was eventually apprehended by Sophie Moore who was able to solve one of his riddles with the help of Arthur's daughter, Stephanie and spent the next five years in Blackgate Penitentiary.
I'll Give You a Clue[]
One day, Cluemaster broke out of his jail cell and sought vengeance on Moore for sending him to prison. He also tried to enlist Stephanie in his revenge but she refused to help him so he abducted her and used her as another piece of his plan by covering her body with a code. Cluemaster then placed Stephanie in a glass box and left her to be found by Moore and her helpers, Ryan Wilder and Mary Hamilton who were able to free the young woman. While Stephanie and Luke Fox worked to decipher her father's code Ryan, Mary and Sophie fell into a gameshow-inspired trap which Cluemaster had previously left for them on the set of Quiz Bowl that he had rigged to blow. After deciphering the code Stephanie tracked her father to her childhood home and revealed to him the truth about his imprisonment so Cluemaster knocked her unconscious, trapping her and himself in a car to die. However, Luke Fox was able to find them and save both their lives. Cluemaster was then arrested by the GCPD and sent back to Blackgate.
Personality[]
Even before his incarceration at Blackgate Penitentiary, Brown was a dangerous and psychotic individual who payed no mind to killing innocent people simply out of spite. For years Brown obsessed over how Sophie was able to solve his puzzle which drove him to seek revenge against her and when he found out that is own daughter was responsible for sending him to prison all those years ago Brown's delusion took complete control over him and attempted to kill both himself and Stephanie.
