| ~ Coach Colby attempting to seduce Nicole |
Coach Colby is one of the two main antagonists (alongside the Counselor) of the Class of '09 franchise.
He is voiced by Dreux Ferrono Jr.
Biography[]
Coach Colby is the physical education teacher who frequently and impulsively makes clunky attempts to seduce his female students, especially Nicole, Jecka, and Emily, who he considers to be the prettiest of his students. He often prowls the girls' locker rooms after classes, and has been caught filming in there on multiple occasions.
In any route where Nicole tries to treat her classmates respectfully, Coach Colby will start a rumor that Nicole slept with the entire football team resulting in her being bullied to suicide, presumably as revenge for not wanting to sleep with him. In the routes where she entertains his advances and goes home with him, he will sexually strangle her to death, in a shocking twist ending that reveals him to be a murderous and sexually sadistic maniac; it is then stated that he molests her corpse.
Coach Colby is revealed to have outdated and politically incorrect views, such as comparing feminism to dictatorships and loudly laughing about his desire to cheat on his wife and murder her. He is also shown to be racist and homophobic, even secretly sponsoring the "straight club" which is comprised of male students who are jealous of gay pride parades. At the Straight Club meetings, he hosts a screening of his edited copy of American History X which has the ending of the movie (where Derek Vinyard learns to not be racist) cropped out. He and the other Straight Club members later go to burn down Ari's house when she comes out of the closet as a lesbian.
In the Flipside, he only appears after Nicole, Jecka, and Kelly have turned 18, and visits FYE to be “recreationally angry”, and plans to talk to some airport bartenders. He also is present at a house party hosted by a student and drunkenly flees when the police show up.
In the Anime, he becomes an ally of 18-year-old Jecka briefly to harass 17-year-old Ari after she denied Jecka service at Hot Topic for bringing in Chipotle, as part of a supposed weekly “Minors welcome speed dating” event that in reality was simply made up by Jecka.
During the short, Class of '09: Kicked Out, Colby was only heard, not seen. Here he got kicked out of a local Starbuck having been caught masturbating in the bathroom. At the end, Colby loudly declares he had a better experience masturbating in the School's Janitor closet.
