Coach Schneider is the secondary antagonist of A Nightmare on Elm Street 2: Freddy's Revenge. He is the abusive coach of Jesse Walsh and Ron Grady as well as a sexual predator.
He was portrayed by Marshall Bell.
Biography[]
During gym class, when Jesse Walsh and Ron Grady get into a fight, Schneider punishes them into doing several push-ups, then he forces them to take a shower after their punishment ends.
A day later, he makes Jesse and Ron run several laps around the field as a punishment for unknown reasons. When he heard Jesse and Ron saying bad things about him in the showers that he has "a stick up his ass", he punishes them again into doing several push-ups the second time.
Later during the night, while at the bar, Schneider catches Jesse drinking alcohol, and abducts him, taking him to the abandoned school and makes him run several laps around the gym as a punishment, then he shoves him against some chairs and forces him to take a shower after his punishment ends, and locks all his clothes away from him.
As Jesse is showering, Schneider grabs 2 jump ropes from a closet, planning to rape and abuse him for his sadistic sexual gratification.
Meanwhile, Freddy Krueger makes the gym/sports equipment come to life, first by sending various balls and sports equipment at Schneider's direction, then proceeding to bring the 2 jump ropes to life and wraps them around his wrists, and drags him into the locker room showers. The jump ropes tie him to the shower pipes and then he is stripped naked. A towel then starts whipping his butt, then Freddy possesses Jesse and slashes Schneider's back, killing him.

Schneider appears in the novelization from Jesse's perspective by Mark Patton, here Schneider is explicitly depicted as a sexual predator and a serial rapist of teenage boys, which was already heavily implied in the movie. It is revealed Schneider watched Jesse and Ron during the showers from his office for his voyeuristic pleasure.
Freddy Krueger possessed Jesse getting him to finish the wounded Schneider off by sodomizing him with a pole for extra irony as Schneider was frequently described as "having a stick up his butt". When the police found Schneider's body, his death was ruled as a BDSM game accident and not a murder. Whilst Jesse was horrified by what he did, he also understood that Schneider was a bad man who had hurt many male teenagers.
