| “ | The Architects remember the history well; else we should forget it. I know that in the distant past, before the Eternal Freeze descended or the Legion invaded, this world was once prosperous beyond measure... An Aeon connected our planet to other worlds, and we discovered the endless possibilities of the boundless universe. We also came to know of Qlipoth, the Amber Lord. Under THEIR attentive gaze, we built the city walls. | „ |
| ~ Cocolia Rand, Everwinter Night |
Cocolia Rand, also known as the Supreme Guardian, was a major antagonist in Honkai: Star Rail and initially served as the main antagonist of the Jarilo-VI storyline and an ally of the Stellaron in the planet. Originally presenting herself as a benevolent leader, she betrayed the Trailblazer's group to stop them investigating the Stellaron. She's an Expy of Cocolia from Houkai Gakuen 2 and Honkai Impact 3rd. And in all of these three games, she was Bronya's adoptive mother.
She was voiced by Mufei in Chinese, Heather Gonzalez in English, and by Misa Kato in Japanese.
Biography[]
Cocolia Rand is a descendant of the 1st Supreme Guardian of Belobog, Alisa Rand. As a university student, she attended Belobog Military Academy, where she befriended Serval. After ascending to being the Supreme Guardian, she was slowly influenced by the Stellaron on Jarilo-VI, until eventually accepting their offer for her adopted daughter, Bronya's sake.
Cocolia would later deem the Underworld as sealed in her delusions to "save" the planet and rejected Serval's research and deemed it illegal.
Honkai: Star Rail[]
Cocolia is introduced perusing her documents, when the Trailblazer and the Astral Express members wanted an audience with her. After greeting them in a cordial manner, Cocolia heard their story and granted them access to the Grand Hotel in order to prepare for the Stellaron expedition, while she was ordered by the Stellaron to stop them at all costs. Cocolia then decided to frame them and have them imprisoned, which they managed to escape from due to Sampo's interference.
Cocolia, uses the Stellaron's power to attack Seele and the Astral Express Crew with the Engine of Creation. While fighting against the machine, Cocolia impales the Trailblazer, but they subsequently are revived by the Aeon of Preservation Qilpoth, allowing them to take control of the mech to defeat Cocolia and resonate with the power of Preservation. After defeating Cocolia, she tries to absorb the Stellaron's power for herself, but is ultimately destroyed by it as Bronya tried to stop her.
