Colleen Dexler is the main antagonist of the Law & Order: Criminal Intent episode "Beast". Dexler is the murderer of Dr. Greg Ross' wife Lisa, in the same fashion Ross murder his first wife and Dexler's sister Morgan, in the hopes Dexler would get Ross' attention.
She was portrayed by Katie MacNichol.
Biography[]
Dexler was in a relationship with Greg Ross, a dentist, before her abusive and domineering mother Joanna forced Dexler's and Ross' breakup for Ross to be arranged with Morgan. They married, but when Morgan had an affair due to Ross being a narcissist, Ross poisoned her with dioxin. Dexler wanted another chance with Ross, but he married Lisa instead. She decided to take her rage out on Lisa and get Ross back, starting by getting close to Lisa at trivia bowls. Learning that Lisa had a cocaine addiction, Dexler pretended to be a man online to seduce Lisa, then send her a shipment of cocaine and instructed her to take it vaginally for the high she wanted. The drug was also laced with dioxin, so Lisa eventually succumbed to its effects and died.
Dexler stalked Ross by getting an appointment with him, telling him her crimes and that she knew his in the hopes he'd feel pressured to gravitate back to her. Instead, Ross tried to blame Dexler for everything. Knowing Dexler was the weak link, the Major Case detectives in the case arrested Ross, which they demonstrated to Dexler. Devastated at the thought of never seeing him again and that he sold her out, she confessed to poisoning Lisa, leading to her arrest. Joanna was horrified, but Dexler shouted back at her that she was the wife Ross wanted and that he wouldn't have killed her. Dexler and Ross were later imprisoned for their respective crimes.

Trivia[]
- Dexler is inspired by the late Cordelia Botkin, a poisoner who sent a letter and spiked candies to her former lover's wife out of jealousy, killing her and the woman's sister when they ate the candies.
