The Colombian Cartel (also known as the Colombians) are one of the main antagonists of the 3D Universe Grand Theft Auto Games. Serving as the main antagonists of Grand Theft Auto III and supporting antagonists in its prequel Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories, and Grand Theft Auto: Advance.
History[]
The Colombian Cartel was founded in Liberty City during the year 1998. Miguel, the Colombian person who founded the cartel, imported a handful of other Colombians from their home country. Miguel and his fellow Colombians then decided to import SPANK directly from their home country. They smuggled the drug through Francis International Airport and the Portland Harbor. The cartel distributed SPANK throughout Liberty City.
Three years later, Catalina and her boyfriend Claude joined the cartel. They helped the Cartel to rob the Liberty City Bank. During the bank heist, however, Catalina betrayed Claude and left him to for dead. As a result, Claude was arrested and sentenced to Liberty Penitentiary.
During Claude's departure in a police van, a few Colombian Cartel members ran the van off the road. They killed the driver and abducted one of the inmates. Before leaving, the Colombians left a bomb on the Callahan Bridge where the situation took place. Claude and the only other inmate, a man named 8-Ball, were left. Claude managed to get keys from the dead driver's body and used them to free himself and 8-Ball. The bomb detonated seconds later and destroyed the bridge's mid-section. This separated Portland from the rest of Liberty City.
Trivia[]
