Colonel Buckshot is a villain in Matt Hatter Chronicles. A longstanding minion of Lord Tenoroc, he is an anthropomorphic rhinoceros who hunts normal animals for fun.

Hunt of the Amber Dragon[]
Colonel Buckshot is summoned by Lord Tenoroc to capture the Amber Dragon in the Enchanted Forest. Hoping to set a trap and bag some Tuk Tuks, he shoots at the ground and creates a trap door.
The Tuk Tuks are bringing food for the Amber Dragon with aid from Roxanna and Gomez, but four, one of whom is the son of the Chief, have not returned, as they have been caught by Colonel Buckshot. To make matters worse, the Amber Dragon has come out of hibernation and is now on the prowl, which horrifies Gomez immensely. Roxanna goes off to investigate (leaving Gomez behind) and summons Matt to enlist his help in looking for the missing Tuk Tuks. Matt, Roxanna, and two Tuk Tuks split off into pairs, but the Tuk Tuk who was sent with Matt falls into Colonel Buckshot's trap.
Meanwhile, Roxanna and her Tuk Tuk partner overhear Colonel Buckshot taunting the Chief's son planning to feed him to the Amber Dragon. Roxanna's Tuk Tuk sends some sounds to distract Colonel Buckshot, but he just goes to the other Tuk Tuks he has caught. He is just about to beat one with a hatchet when Roxanna arrives to stop him. The two engage in battle, and the Tuk Tuks take this opportunity to get away, much to Colonel Buckshot's anger. He shoots bolos at Roxanna in an attempt to tie her up, but none of them hit her.
Roxanna catches up to Matt as he is fighting the Amber Dragon, which she then tames. She explains that there is danger coming and that it must leave. She later tells Matt of Colonel Buckshot, and they suspect that he is after the Dragon. Matt and Roxanna head to the Council of Trees to ask for their help, but Tenoroc, eavesdropping, tells Buckshot to go to Middle Mount to lie in wait, as the Amber Dragon will be going there to shed its scales.
Gomez talks to the Chief and tries to reassure him, but has a hard time keeping calm himself. Meanwhile, Buckshot sets a trap for the Amber Dragon on Middle Mount. The trees try to talk him out of it, but he refuses to listen and states his intentions to chop them into firewood when he is finished with the Dragon. Suddenly, the Dragon arrives, much to Buckshot's glee. It goes toward the Chief's son, only to fall into Buckshot's trap.
Matt and Roxanna climb up Middle Mount and hear the Dragon roar. Buckshot is just about to shoot it with a Double Strength Dart when Matt and Roxanna run in. He shoots the Dart at Roxanna, but Matt deflects it back at him and into his leg (oddly enough, however, this does not cause him to go hologram). During his gloating, however, a Tree drags Buckshot into the pit, and the Dragon eats him. It is then that he goes hologram and is captured by Matt.
Powers and Abilities[]
Buckshot is skilled with a gun and intelligent enough to set traps. He is also very durable, being able to withstand a dart deflected at him.
