Colonel Dimitri

Colonel Dimitri was a minor villain in the series The Real Adventures of Jonny Quest. He appeared in the episode Rock of Rages.

Biography

Dimitri was a pro-Soviet Russian officer serving under General Vostok. He helped him in his attempt to use the golem to overthrow Czech President Stasny. Whenever Vostok wasn't present, Dimitri was the one commanding the General's soldiers. He was totally dedicated to his commanding officer, following his orders without question, although he was shown to be somewhat impatient, eager to let their men fight against the Czech Army rather than just use the golem. Vostok told him to be patient.

After the golem successfully defeated all of the Czech soldiers defending Stasny's presidential estate, Dimitri, armed with a slung machine pistol, accompanied General Vostok into the house with the golem. Thus armed, he guarded the rear in order to prevent either the President or the Quest family from escaping, should the golem fail to kill them. However, he was paying so much attention to that that he failed to notice Vostok's former business partner, Professor Anton Karst, sneaking up behind him.

Karst, who'd been attacked by the golem and left for dead when Vostok betrayed him, attacked Dimitri, knocking him out and taking his gun. It is unknown what happened to Dimitri after this. Likely, he survived and was arrested by the Czech authorities. In any event, the next time Vostok appeared, he was accompanied by a new second in command, Colonel Nikolai.
