Commander Bai is the main antagonist of the Eddsworld Classic/Legacy episode Space Face. He is the leader of the Vanity Alien species.
He is voiced by Jamie Spicer-Lewis, who also voiced Tord in The End.
Biography:[]
Not much is known about his past, but he & his fellow crew mates are the most attractive race in the Universe. They even found a way to convert self-esteem into raw energy. During a mission to get Space Beer, the ship's hyperdrive malfunctioned & sent Bai & his crew deep into space. They spent a long time trying to find their way home, but let themselves go as they could no longer power the ship with their vanity. Since then, they had searched the galaxy for a being vain enough to get them home.
Upon abducting Matt, Tom & Edd, Commander Bai gives the trio the tour of his ship, saying that it is the finest in their galaxy. He starts off with the Desire Room, which gives the inhabitant anything they want. Matt is given duplicates of himself complimenting him, Edd is given a marker which he uses to draw a girl, but finds it too ugly & draws himself a disguise to confuse the girl & Tom is given a Christmas tree to burn with gasoline, despite Edd's plea & demand not to. Next, Commander Bai gives the trio a tour of the helm, where the crew power the ship from here. He demonstrates by disabling & enabling gravity. He even shows them the Vanity Machine & explains that he & his fellow aliens are the most attractive race in the universe & they got stuck in space via ship hyperdrive malfunction, searching for a being vain enough to get them home. When Tom questions how that's going, Bai claims that they thought they found them on Vargafar 7, only for them to be the most complimentary species. Edd doesn't know what he & his friends are involved with his for, until they see the Mowing face that Matt made of himself. Commander Bai reveals that he brought them onto his ship as the mowing is the Vanity beacon, believing that Matt may be the source to getting them home. Bai claims that only the vainest being could capture such a monument of themselves. When Matt sees his work on the lawn, he admires his grassiness, which gives the Vanity Machine power, leaving Commander Bai to encourage Matt to be more happy of himself. Tom tells Matt that he likes him, leaving him believe himself as popular, powering the Vanity Drive until it's almost full. Edd gives Matt a mirror & he smiles. This powers the energy drive & powers the whole ship. Commander Bai congratulates Matt for saving their ship, dubbing him as a hero, which makes him feel awesome about himself. However, the ship grows unstable as it can't take on more vanity. When Commander Bai realizes this, he tries to get someone to humble Matt, but they are unable to, sending the ship speeding through space until Tom confesses that he lied about liking Matt, dropping the Vanity Power by 50%. As such, Commander Bai gives the trio a final part of the tour, which is the Garbage Disposal Bay, which is used to get rid of unwanted items, which includes Edd & his friends. Matt tries to convince them not to put them into the Garbage Disposal Bay, reminding them that he powered their ship with his pretty face. Edd protests & proceeds to go back the helm to drive themselves back home, but they are stopped by the ships crew & thrown aside. Just as Commander Bai is about to get rid of Edd, Tom & Matt, he mistakingly traps himself & his crew in the Garbage Disposal Bay & when he presses the button, he & his crew mates are sucked off their ship & into space, never to be seen again.
