Commander Hypaxxus-8 is the main antagonist of the LEGO Alien Conquest toyline, and the overarching antagonist of LEGO Atlantis and LEGO Pharaoh's Quest. He is the leader of an alien army that invaded the Earth to steal humans' brainpower for their galactic batteries.
Biography[]
Past[]
According to the LEGO Club magazine, Hypaxxus-8 has been trying to conquer the Earth for centuries. His forces armed the Atlantis Guardians, and he helped Amset-Ra build his pyramid. Eventually, he attempted to invade the planet personally.
Alien Conquest[]
The aliens launched a full-scale assault of the Earth, bringing its cities to ruin and abducting humans and other creatures, sucking out their brainpower to be used in their galactic batteries, intending to rule the Earth once it's been done. Hypaxxus-8's abductees included a businessman, the reporter Lotta Brix, the Alien Defense Unit Sergeant, and most of the rest of ADU's personnel, and he took a chance to gloat about his invasion to the Earthlings.
At a later point, Hypaxxus-8 abducted both the Golden King from Atlantis, mind-controlling him with an Alien Clinger, and Amset-Ra from Egypt, so that they would help him construct a mech to defeat ADU. Nevertheless, the Earth's defenders turned the tide and defeated the aliens, forcing them to retreat. While Amset-Ra lamented their loss, Hypaxxus-8 retorted that he still had one trick up his sleeve, and enacted it by unleashing dinosaurs on Earth, kickstarting the events of the Dino theme. He was never seen again, however, leaving it unknown if he still plans to conquer the planet.
Personality[]
Hypaxxus-8 is very arrogant, always feeling confident of his and his forces' imminent success and taunting his enemies when he gets the chance. Even when faced with defeat, he doesn't give up and is determined to conquer the Earth by any means necessary.
Trivia[]
- Alien Villainess' bio mentions that she sends her commanders out to conquer planets for her empire. Since she and Hypaxxus-8 belong to the same species, it's possible that he is one of the commanders working for her.
- Even before the Alien Villainess' minifigue was released, Hypaxxus-8 mentioned "High Command" that he answered to in the "Invasion from the Planet X2½" web game. A stage in LEGO Brawls shows the two alien overlords together in the background, further implying that they work together.
