Commantis is a minor villain in the video game Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance. It is a Nightmare Dream Eater that appears in Riku's version of The Grid and works for CLU.
History[]
Riku first encounters Commantis when he is forced into a Light Cycle battle against several Black Guards by CLU. After Riku defeats them, the Commantis flies into the arena and attacks Riku, but he is able to drive it off.
The Commantis is later summoned by CLU again when Riku, Quorra, Sam and Kevin Flynn reach the Portal to the outside world. He is angry at Kevin for breaking his promise to change the world together with him, and summons Commantis as a demonstration of the applications he can use. Riku then fights and derezzes Commantis. Before fading away, it changes its color scheme for a second, implying that it was actually a Spirit that CLU repurposed to work for him.
