Common Cold is a supporting antagonist in Codename: Kids Next Door.
He is a supervillain themed around illness and spreading disease. He despises children, especially the Kids Next Door and wants to make every kid on earth sick in retaliation for theoretically making him ill.
He is voiced by Tom Kenny, who also voices Knightbrace, Chester (KND), and James Nixon McGarfield in the same series, Doctor Two-Brains in Wordgirl, Ice King from Adventure Time, and King Jellybean from Rick and Morty.
Appearance[]
Common Cold is a has pale skin (undoubtedly a result of his eternal sickness) and has a red ice pack on top of his head. He wears a lime green body suit with a dark green jet pack attached to it with a green belt. He also has green boots with white bottoms. When using his snot gun he places a dark green rig over his nose that is attached to a pneumatic tube connected to his weapon.
History[]
Common Cold first appeared in "Operation: T.O.M.M.Y." where he tries to snotify the Kids Next Door, However, in the end he's defeated, but he teams up with Tommy (Numbuh 2's little brother) to destroy the Kids Next Door, though Common Cold double-crosses Tommy and places him in the machine which would be used to make kids around the world sick, but Numbuh 2 defeats him and makes him come to his house for chicken noodle soup (against his will).
He later appears in "Operation: Q.U.I.E.T." to attack Sector V's Treehouse, but Numbuh 2 covered his nose and mouth to stop him from sneezing so loudly (since Numbuh 1 was sleeping).
He was a boss in Codename: Kids Next Door – Operation: V.I.D.E.O.G.A.M.E. where he covered Sector V's Treehouse with snot and used his Snot-Bomber to defeat Numbuh 2, but was brought down and taken to the Moonbase.
He appeared in "Operation: A.W.A.R.D.S." where he was present to the Villains Choice Awards and his Snot-Bomber was a key part in Sector V's plan to ruin the Award show.
Trivia[]
- He is the uncle of Anna Worthington, secretary to Gallagher Elementary's fourth grade president James "Jimmy" Nixon McGarfield. In "Operation: S.N.O.W.I.N.G." he is responsible for infecting Numbuh 1 with a cold at Anna's request (because Jimmy needed him out of the way), though he doesn't actually appear in the episode.
