Biography[]
Season 4[]
Connor arrived in Mystic Falls to investigate the death of the twelve members of the Town Council. He used gloves soaked in verbena to identify vampires easily and quickly. He shot Tyler, a vampire/hybrid when Tyler's hand burnt on contact with the verbena on Connor's gloves. Connor attacked April during a funeral to entice the vampires to identify themselves. He later stole werewolf venom to poison the beer keg at a party. He was saved from being blown up by Damon's mines by Klaus, who took him captive and tortured him. Klaus forced Jeremy to draw Connor's tattoo, which he obtained after seeing it on another member of the Five. Connor later revealed that the mark makes him the best-protected vampire hunter in town.
Stefan is given orders not to kill him but ends up fighting him with Damon in the underground tunnels. Connor runs into Elena, who he tries to kill, but she ends up killing him instead. Connor returns as a hallucination to torture Elena during the Hunter's Curse. Later, as a ghost, Connor and other members of The Five return to the living world to fulfill their mission to kill Silas. In Graduation, Connor threatens to blow up the Mystic Grill but is stopped by Alaric Saltzman before he can detonate the bombs. Connor is presumably returned to the Other Side when the veil is put back up.
Personality[]
Connor was a highly skilled and ruthless vampire hunter who was driven by his intense urges to kill vampires. He showed no remorse in fulfilling these instincts, and would use any means necessary to bring down his enemies. Connor was always prepared for any situation, and would use vervain gloves, claymores, and homemade weapons and gadgetry to hunt vampires. He was inventive with his weapons and set up "booby-traps" to catch his prey. He was also willing to harm innocent humans if it helped him to achieve his goals. Despite his cold and calculating nature, Connor showed an interest in preparing Jeremy Gilbert for being a hunter, likely due to his own mentor showing a similar interest in him while he was serving in Iraq. Actor Todd Williams has said that Connor wasn't mean, but rather very passionate about what he wanted and very strategic.
