He was the combined form of:
- Bonecrusher
- Steamhammer

- Wideload
He was voiced by Don Brown, who also voiced Cyclonus, as well as Scorponok in Beast Wars and Evilseed in the 2002 version of He-Man and the Masters of the Universe.
Energon cartoon[]
Constructicon Maximus appeared in the last quarter of the show's run, introduced in the episode "Ambition" as one of four giant Transformers left to guard the Super Energon pool. He was revived from suspended animation after Megatron killed one of the other guardians, Dauntless Maximus. Whilst Superion Maximus was horrified, Constructicon and Bruticus Maximus were intrigued by Megatron's power. They allowed him to enter the energon pool, where he was transformed into Galvatron.
Impressed, Constructicon Maximus and Bruticus Maximus quickly pledged their loyalty to the Decepticons. However, Superion fled. The other two gestalts pursued him but he ended up joining up with the Autobots. Constructicon Maximus continued to serve with Galvatron's troops, usually alongside Bruticus, and was often called upon to battle Superior or the other giant Autobot, Omega Supreme.
In the show's penultimate episode "Spark", Constructicon Maximus and Bruticus Maximus double-teamed Superion Maximus and came close to killing him. However, Superion managed to detach his arms and used them to pin Constructicon to a wall, then smashed his chest, destroying his spark and killing him.
Trivia[]
- The character bears a resemblance to the character of Devastator and is known as such in some markets. He takes his name from the Constructicons, the combiner team that formed Devastator in G1 and others.
