~ A researcher about the convicts, foreshadowing their jailbreak. |
The Convicts are the main antagonists of the survival horror Korean Webcomic Forest of Humans created by Junho Hwang. They are a group of 10 death row convicts who were picked for testing at an abandoned facility, before breaking out and murdering the staff.
Overview[]
The Convicts are a group of mentally ill and dangerous serial killers in South Korea, all of whom convicted on death row for serial murder, rape and torture. The youngest of the criminals is Jaejun Park, who is 19 years old while the oldest is Chungil Ji.
The group managed to escape their confinement due to the help of Hyeseon Kim, with all of them breaking out and murdering the staff, except for the newest recruit Ru Ha. The group decided to work together, apart from Gihwan, who Hyeseon kept locked in his cell so he wouldn’t kill them, to find and kill her so they don’t rat them out, and they can all escape.
During their ally ship, Junho Park took over as a de-facto leader with Hyeseon helping him and being a co-leader, while Jaejun Park abandoned the group to help Ru Ha survive. Despite the grouo working together, their allyship quickly crumbles due to their conflicting sanity and goals, with Junho already planning on taking out all of them at once while others, such as Gyeongshik Kim, wanting to stay due to liking it there. The group’s lack of organization and quick to betray them all leads to all their downfall, as Ru Ha’s independence and quick manages to make sure all of them are either dead or imprisoned.
