Father to the beast! I'll bleed you, in the yard!
~ Corgan attacking Blake before throwing him down the stairs
Consume the flesh and spice it well! Let the bones be burned!
~ Corgan's most iconic line.

Corgan is a minor antagonist in Outlast 2. A deranged member of Sullivan Knoth's Testament of the New Ezekiel, he hunts and tries to kill Blake Langermann after the cameraman unwittingly stumbled into his house.

He was portrayed by Graham Cuthbertson, who also portrays Eddie Gluskin in Outlast: Whistleblower.

Biography[]

Corgan is first seen at the very beginning of the game watching Blake Langermann from the shadows as he arrives at Temple Gate, before backing slowly into the darkness. Later, Blake unintentionally stumbles into a house with a mangled corpse laying on the bed. Corgan lunges out at him from the dark and violently throws him down a staircase.

As Blake escapes the house, Corgan, along with several other cultists, pursue Blake chasing him through several buildings until Blake is finally able to block Corgan off with some wreckage next to a doorway in the dormitory. However, Corgan is able to quickly make his way around the building and forces his way into the dormitory, forcing Blake to sneak his way out. After this, Corgan is not seen again until the end of the game, where his corpse can be seen lying among the rest of the dead cultists having committed suicide through cyanide poisoning.

Trivia[]

  • Corgan's name is never mentioned at all in the game, with his name only being found in in-game files and on a promotional image title for Outlast 2.
  • Corgan's suicide by cyanide along with the other cultists is a direct reference to the real Peoples Temple cult, who also committed mass suicide from cyanide poisoning in 1978.
