The Cosmic Clones are Minor antagonists in the Super Mario franchise. They first appeared as minibosses in Super Mario Galaxy 2 and appeared again in Super Mario 3D Land.
They are evil shadowy clones of Mario that try to kill the real deal and his brother Luigi. They are also possibly members of the Koopa Troop.
It was voiced by Charles Martinet.
Appearance[]
The Cosmic Clones in Super Mario Galaxy 2, look awfully similar to Mario (as they are "clones") but it has yellow glowing eyes and fully reddish-colored body.
In Super Mario 3D Land, the Cosmic Clone looks like small Mario, his body is purple this time.
Biography[]
Super Mario Galaxy 2[]
When you are in a level, the Cosmic Clones will spawn and mirror Mario/Luigi's moves. The missions are to not die or to not let the Cosmic Clones ahead of you. When Mario/Luigi gets a star, the clones will despawn and the level is over.
Super Mario 3D Land[]
This is basically the same scenario as Super Mario Galaxy 2, but this time its only 1 clone, the Cosmic Clone here can be defeated with a Super Star, but it will respawn back again. When Mario completes the level, the clone will despawn and the level is over.
Trivia[]
- The Cosmic Clones are very similar to another clone of Mario from the first Super Mario Galaxy game named Cosmic Mario as well as Shadow Mario from Sunshine.
