Counselor Buddy is a villain in the Goosebumps franchise, serving as the secondary antagonist of The Horror at Camp Jellyjam, the thirty-third book of the original series.
Biography[]
Upon finding them stranded in their crashed trailer, Buddy takes Wendy and Elliot to Camp Jellyjam to stay until the counselors find their parents. Secretly, however, Buddy and the rest of the counselors are brainwashed pawns of King Jellyjam and always trying to force the kids to be the best. Wendy and the kids defeat Jellyjam by having his suffocate via his own stink, freeing the counselors from his control. Buddy visits the siblings, giving Elliot his last king coin.
Appearance[]
Buddy is blond with blue eyes and has a seemingly permanent smile. He is even described by Wendy as having about two thousand teeth.
Personality[]
Buddy initially shows himself as a friendly individual, but soon becomes aggressive when Wendy tries to lead the kids away from King Jellyjam's cave. However, he is snapped out of his hypnosis by the sound of the whistle of a police officer. At the end of the book, he seems to be genuinely friendly and remorseful.
