"Uhh, yeah, I gotta be honest, it does sound cool, but my schedule's so packed, there's just no time, you know? My boy's learnin' piano, my daughter's doin'... all sorts of stuff, but yeah, if I had the time, I totally would, but n-no, yeah."
~ Count Groxia denying Gwimbly's offer to star in a new game.

Count Groxia is a minor character in the Adult Swim animated series Smiling Friends who first appears in the Season 2 episode "Gwimbly: Definitive Remastered Enhanced Extended Edition DX 4K (Anniversary Director's Cut)"

He was the main antagonist of the in-universe Gwimbly franchise. Despite being archenemies with Gwimbly in-game, in reality he is shown to be just co-workers and close friends with Gwimbly, and has since retired to focus on his family.

He was performed by Joshua Tomar, who also voiced Troglor in the same episode. And was motion captured by youtube animator, Hoolopee.

Background[]

Gwimbly: Oh come on, it would just be like the old days! Remember when I used to beat your ass over the creamed corn?
Count Groxia: Yeah... Yeah, I remember.

Count Groxia appearances in-game

Count Groxia was hired sometime in the 1990s by the IGBG CEO to be an employee by Insane Groundbreaking Games. He played the role of the villain in Gwimbly's games, likely playing a similar role as other famous video game villains at the time such as Bowser or King K. Rool. In-game he is shown without wearing clothes with the appearance of a reptoid-like troll. Ever since the decline in popularity of the Gwimbly games, Groxia has retired to focus on his family. In his personal life, he is shown to be an honest, hard-working father with a paranoid wife, a son who plays piano, and a daughter who does "all sorts of things".

During the events of "Gwimbly: Definitive Remastered Enhanced Extended Edition DX 4K (Anniversary Director's Cut)", Pim, Gwimbly, and Allan asked Groxia if he could reprise his role as the main antagonist for Gwimbly's indie game. After this was denied, they ask if he can crash on the couch. Groxia denies both requests because his wife fears them and Groxia has since moved on.

Trivia[]

  • He was designed by Hoolopee, who also performed him in motion captured.
