Countess Rajine is a minor antagonist in the Star Wars franchise, serving as the main antagonist of the Clone Wars Adventures story "No Way Out". She is an energy vampire and former Jedi who has drained the life forces of hundreds of victims until her defeat by the Jedi Master Mace Windu.
Biography[]
Countess Rajine served as a Jedi Knight during the days of the Galactic Republic. Rajine was also an energy vampire, and was capable of draining the life force of victims, leaving them as mindless zombies under their control. She claimed an unknown number of victims before another Jedi named Samuro managed to imprison her and her zombies on a desolate planet. Samuro died in the act of imprisoning Rajine, who claimed his protocol droid Z-18 for herself. Over the following centuries, Rajine claimed many more victims who happened to turn up on her planet.
Hundreds of years later, Rajine claims a squadron of Clone Troopers as her latest victims. Mace Windu then arrives on the planet in search of the missing clones. The moment he arrives on the planet, Z-18 escorts him to the abandoned city where Rajine resides and Rajine begins secretly draining his life force. The zombies then capture Windu and imprison him.
Rajine begins gloating to Windu that as a powerful Jedi, his life force will give her enough power to escape the barrier Samuro placed around the city. However, Z-18 frees Windu after she leaves, and Rajine has to send his zombies after him. She eventually tracks him down and attacks him, before slicing Z-18 in half with Windu's lightsabre, commenting that she shouldn't have kept him around.
However, Windu then reveals a holographic message left by Samuro that explains how to defeat her. Samuro wasn't powerful enough to destroy her, but if Windu and the hologram of Samuro recite "the words of banishment", she will be defeated. After both Jedi recite the incantation, Rajine's control over her zombies is broken, and they immediately turn on her and rip the evil vampire apart.
