Countess Sekou is a major antagonist in the 2023 mystery-comedy film Murder Mystery 2.
She's portrayed by Jamaican-British actress Jodie Turner-Smith.
Biography[]
Countess Sekou is the university roommate of Madame Claudette Joubert, the fiancé of Maharajah Vikram Golvodan. She herself was engaged to Vikram, before he left her for Claudette. Claudette still maintained a relationship with Sekou, enough Sekou would be maid of honor.
She and her personal assistant Imani, who were introduced as snobbish and insulting at the wedding, were among the suspects who could've been the inside person for the Maharajah's kidnapping for ransom. Sekou was innocent of the kidnapping, but she and Imani intercepted Nick and Audrey Spitz when they were to deliver the ransom. Imani killed a cronie of the real kidnappers to get the money, then held Nick and Audrey captive in an abandoned mansion, where she planned to kill them both.
The Spitzes tried to warn Imani Sekou would double-cross her, which Sekou swiftly did by shooting her. With the Spitzes restrained, Swkou set the mansion on fire, but Imani, in her dying moments, shot and killed Sekou in retaliation. The Spitzes successfully broke free and fled rhe mansion with the reacquired money, later rescuing Vik and stopping the kidnappers.
