The Country Road Creature is an internet urban legend that was created by Canadian horror artist Trevor Henderson that is mostly known for its disturbing appearance. As its name implies, the Country Road Creature tends to be spotted in the back country roads, although it can leave if it’s hunting for food and if its prey is extremely hard to find or catch.

Biography

The Country Road Creature is shown to be a pale, tall and slim creature with very long claws on its hands. It also seems to be able to bend its neck and arms in impossible positions. The first picture of this creature was released in the woods. A person inside of a vehicle took the picture of the Creature, which was looking at the person while running across a road. Further on, more possible pictures of the Creature started spreading, such as a photo of the Creature climbing on a building, going to the other side. However, it might be just a reference to a classic YouTube video.

More images of the Creature started appearing, with one photo showing the Creature walking past a person's car window. Another photo shows the Creature's long clawed hand reaching down into a basement, though the photo’s caption implies it is simply a drawing of a dream a person had (it is possible it isn't the Creature because of that). Someone even took a picture of the Creature standing in front of them which shows the Creature's hands on the ground and the monster looking straight into the person who is taking the photo, seemingly ready to jump at him.

The last photo of this Creature shows a pale-white man standing in front of a vehicle, with the man's clawed hand appearing to be the same as the Creature's hand. It therefore implies that the Creature has the ability of shapeshifting into other beings to lure its victims inside the woods in order to turn back into its original form and use its claws to dismember and consume the victims.

The Country Road Creature was created by Trevor Henderson, who is known for making various bizarre creatures over the internet. His other creations include Siren Head, Cartoon Cat, the Bridge Worms, the Man with the Upside-Down Face, the Smile Room, the Good Boy, the Lamb, the Man in the Red Room, the Fetid King, the Giants and Long Horse.
It is believed that the Country Road Creature could be much more dangerous than Siren Head or other Trevor Henderson monsters due to its ability to disguise as a person, presumably to trick people into picking it up and after which, it will lure them to their death.
- However, it is revealed that Cartoon Cat is the most dangerous of all of Trevor Henderson’s monsters while the Man with the Upside-Down Face is the worst, the latter of whom being called “the pettiest a**hole of the bunch.”
In its quadrapedic form, the County Road Creature bears a resemblance to an alien from the 1982 British science fiction film Xtro, which also features reverse-jointed limbs and is seen next to a rural road at night.
