Cowl Mark is a minor antagonist in the Image Comics series Invincible and its animated adaptation.

He is one of the Alternate Mark Graysons that started off as a hero, but became evil and conquered his Earth. He was later found by Angstrom Levy, and agreed to help him destroy the reputation of his world’s Invincible.

He is voiced by Steven Yeun, who also played all the other Alternate Mark Graysons, A. Traveler in The Twilight Zone, Ricky "Jupe" Park in Nope and Danny Cho in Beef.

Appearance[]

The costume of this Invincible closely resembles that of the mainstream one, featuring his current black and blue outfit, but with some distinct differences. He wears a lighter shade of blue and has blue arms and legs. The most prominent feature is the cowl that covers his head.

Personality[]

Cowl Invincible, like most Invincibles, embraced the role of a supervillain, readily participating in the Invincible War with a disturbing lack of concern for the widespread destruction and loss of life he inflicted. Cowl Mark is a sadistic individual, reveling in the chance to cause as much pain as possible to his foe.

Biography[]

Comics[]

Cowl Mark fought Kurr Dragon, Mighty Man II, Angelica Murphy, and Superpatriot on the second day. He knocked Mighty Man and Superpatriot down while Savage Dragon jumped on him. He then choked Savage Dragon and shoved him against a structure. Savage Dragon killed Cowl Mark, He was later converted into a Reanimen.

Series[]

Cowl Mark was one of the evil variants who would meet Angstrom Levy and along with the other Invincible variants, start the Invincible War, and takeover the mainstream dimension. He would later be greeted by Oliver Grayson, who mistook him for his Invincible. After a brief skirmish, Cowl Mark almost obliterates Oliver, before other superheroes intervene and join the fight against the former.

He is likely deceased as the superheroes who were fighting him had survived the encounter and even fought another variant, with him nowhere to be seen.

Trivia[]

  • Some fans theorize that him and Veil Invincible either survived the war but didn't meet up with Angstrom or one of them are the variant that Powerplex killed.
