Crab Evo is the Crab-themed Evolution Beast pf the Tailed-People Clan Jashinka Empire serving General Kar and a minor antagonist in Kagaku Sentai Dynaman, serving as the main antagonist of the 1st episode.
He is voiced by the late Toku Nishio who previously voiced Gold Mask, Boat Ear Mask, Black Hair Mask, Wire Mask and Pirate Mask in Himitsu Sentai Gorenger, Crab Monger, Mechanic Monger, Boxer Monger and Fighter Monger in Taiyou Sentai Sun Vulcan, most of the Synthetic Beasts in Dai Sentai Google V and later voiced Bat Evo, Sponge Evo, Butterfly Evo, Octopus Evo, Gecko Evo, Dinosaur Evo, Crocodile Evo, Electric Eel, Armor Rose, Drill Horse, Rocket Tiger and Jet Flying Squirrel all also in Dynaman, Gomu, Rogan, Kiga and Dolon in Dengeki Sentai Changeman, Dango Bōma, Oni Boma and Shinigami Boma in Kousoku Sentai Turboranger, Todorugin, Kaijurugin and Sazaemajirogin in Chikyuu Sentai Fiveman, Voice Dimension, Ant Bazooka, Laser Lizard and Meteor BEM in Choujin Sentai Jetman, Dora Titan, Dora Circe, Dora Boogaranan and Dora Gunrock in Kyoryu Sentai Zyuranger, Master Mirror in Gosei Sentai Dairanger and Bara Vacuum in Chouriki Sentai Ohranger.
Biography[]
In 1983, Emperor Aton begins plans to invade the surface of Earth so General Kar creates Crab Evo to kidnap humans so he can experiment on them and see if they can grow tails. Crab Evo is first seen ambushing a girl at the beach only to be seen and chased down by motorcyclist Hokuto Dan so he reappears and blasts them into the ocean after they free the captives. Later, after discovering that humans cannot become Nine-Tailed People, Aton sends Prince Megiddo to lead the final invasion which includes an army of Tail Soldiers and Crab Evo.
Turboranger[]
During the Turborangers' first battle against the Hundred Boma Tribes, they are joined by all ten previous Super Sentai teams which includes the Dynamen. As the Sentai fight, the narrator recalls the Dynaman's many battles which includes Dyna Robo defeating Crab Evo.
Powers and Abilities[]
- Strength: The Crab Evo could take down each of the unmorphed Dynamen with single swings from his claws and threw Hokuto with one claw.
- Durability: Due to its tough crab-like shell, the Crab Evo was able to shrug off missiles from the Dyna Mobile and the Dyjupiter's Macha Laser.
- Depth Perception: The Crab Evo possessed depth perception despite only having one eye.
- Expert Fighter: The Crab Evo was able to fight and completely overwhelm all five unmorphed Dynamen.
- Bubble Ball Wraps: The Crab Evo's main ability where he could spike a purple spit ball at people, trapping them inside it and making them easier for the Tail Soldiers to kidnap.
- Burrowing: The Crab Evo could burrow under and out of sand at will as seen when he first appeared.
- Shell Retraction: The Crab Evo could retract all of his limbs into his body to better protect himself.
- Flight: Whilst in shell form, the Crab Evo could fly through the air at high speed.
- Big Bang Process: When in danger, the Crab Evo could make his cells replicate and expand until he became giant; making him giant sized in the process.
- Eye Blasts: After growing giant, the Crab Evo could fire powerful blue lasers from his single eye capable of causing massive explosions.
