Crane is an antagonist in the 2015 film American Ultra.
She was played by Monique Ganderton, who also portrayed Serilda of Abaddon in Sleepy Hollow, Alia in Smallville, Proxima Midnight in Avengers: Infinite War and Avengers: Endgame, and an evil witch in Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters.
Biography[]
Crane was one of the test subjects of Operation Toughguy, a secret CIA program in which young adults with criminal records were put through a regimen of training, conditioning, and brainwashing in order to turn them into the perfect assassins.
The program failed, however, as it drove its subjects insane. She was one of two Toughguy subjects enlisted by corrupt CIA agent Adrian Yates to kill Mike Howell, a former subject of another experiment, Operation Wiseman, and his CIA handler/girlfriend Phoebe Larsen, the other being Laughter.
They both attacked the police station where Mike and Phoebe were being held after killing two other Toughguy agents. While Laughter went after Mike, Crane shoots and killed all of the officers at the station. Crane encountered the pair after they escaped from jail and tosses a grenade at Mike, who catches it and tosses it Crane's way, blowing up the station. After that, Crane and Mike battled it out, ending with Mike killing Crane by snapping her neck.
