The Crazy Styxx is a minor antagonist from the Cartoon Network series Hi Hi Puffy AmiYumi. He made his debut in the series's fourth episode, Ami Goes Bad. He was voiced by Nathan Carlson.
Personality[]
Kaz Harada mentions that the Crazy Styxx was the best drummer in his time. After his death, the Crazy Styxx lost his mind, causing him to try to avenge his own death.
Physical Appearance[]
Before his death, the Crazy Styxx resembled a crazy-looking man. One of the Crazy Styxx's eyes floated near his head, possibly due to poor drawing. His outfit was a white shirt with green shorts. His shoes are unseen.
Biography[]
The Crazy Styxx was once the greatest drummer of his time, as Kaz Harada put it. Sadly, the Crazy Styxx's concerts came to a tragic end when his mechanism wore down, causing the Crazy Styxx to be launched into the wall, which presumably destroyed his body. (Kaz mentions that "the Crazy Styxx vanished in a pyrotechnic accident.") Though his body was nowhere to be seen, the Crazy Styxx's drumsticks managed to survive the wreckage, landing in a cross pattern to signal their owner's death. The Crazy Styxx injected his own spirit into his drumsticks, which were later bought by Ami as she tried to prove her worth as a rockstar. Because of this, Ami falls under the fallen drummer's control. The Crazy Styxx forces her to destroy various locales to avenge his death. Yumi later finds out about what he had forced Ami to do, so she decides to free her. Kaz tags along since the Crazy Styxx is too powerful.
Yumi and Kaz manage to wrench the drumsticks from Ami's grasp, and she reverts back to her normal self. The Crazy Styxx attacks the gang with his drumsticks for freeing her, but the duo duck and the reckless ghost presumably destroys himself in the fire at a hotel the possessed Ami rented out.
Trivia[]
- The Crazy Styxx's name is a pun on "crazy sticks".
