We insects have been on Earth long before you. And we will be here long after you are gone.
~ Creepox
You may have won this battle, Rangers, but you won't win the war against the Insectoids!
~ Creepox's final words before his death.

Creepox was an elite member to Warstar (a powerful space army which acted as a subsidiary of the Armada), the leader of the Insectoids, the second in command to Admiral Malkor, the archenemy of Troy Borrows and a major antagonist in Power Rangers Megaforce.

He was voiced by Mark Mitchinson who previously voiced General Shifter in Power Rangers RPM, Armadeevil and Tricker in Power Rangers Super Samurai and later voiced Singe in Power Rangers Dino Super Charge, Turbotron in Power Rangers Beast Morphers and both Boomtower and Boomblaster in Power Rangers Dino Fury.

Biography[]

Creepox comes to Earth along with Malkor and Vrak to oversee the insect invasion of Earth. He insists to take the offensive and swarm the Earth completely but, when the Rangers interfere, he becomes mad and wills more energetic means. At this point, Malkor summons Scaraba the Rock Beetle to deal with the humans. However, he dies thanks to the Megaforce Blaster, much to their dismay and chagrin. Creepox later watches, despite his protests, as Yuffo is the next Insectoid picked by Malkor to study the Rangers. Yuffo proves to be no match for the Rangers and is defeated, first by the Dynamic Victory Charge fired by the Megaforce Blaster and then as a giant by the newly flush Gosei Great Megazord's Victory Charge. This prompts Malkor to become enraged, worrying Vrak and Creepox. Virox launches a biological warfare under Vrak's command. Despite his firm denial of the idea, he later reluctantly agrees the plan has some merit while damning Vrak's ego and openly chastising him. After Virox is defeated, Creepox gazes upon Malkor, who is desolated by the defeat. Vrak approaches and quickly solaces him and sends his Zombats to enlarge Virox, only for him to fall to the newfound power of the Sea Gosei Great Megazord's Sea Strike, courtesy of the Sea Brothers Zords (Manta, Sawshark, and Hammerhead Shark).

Tired of foils, Creepox decides to execute a plan of his own and summons Dragonflay to aid him. Creepox tangles with Troy Burrows, the Red Megaforce Ranger, while the speedy Dragonflay deals with the others. Creepox loses the battle just barely and retreats. He, however, manages to inflict enough damage to his enemy to prevent him from further participation in the struggle. Even so, Dragonflay is defeated, much to Vrak's chagrin, who then sends his Zombats to enlarge him. However, his velocity proves no match for the Land Gosei Great Megazord, formed by the Land Brothers Zords (Rhino, Beetle, and Dino) and its Land Strike, which obliterates him. Frustrated, Malkor calls Beezara, the Royal Queen Warrior, to deal with the humans. She proves more cunning and cruel than her male forerunners but, still, she is outmatched by the female Rangers and destroyed by the Ultimate Dino Blast. Beezara is then enlarged and fights the Gosei Great Megazord, overpowering it until the Sky Gosei Great Megazord, caused by the Sky Brothers Zords (Hawk, Ptera and Crow), defeats her with its Sky Strike. Dizchord's failure infuriates Malkor who threatens Creepox and Vrak by remarking he will not accept any more failures from either of them.

Sharing Malkor's irritation with the delay in the invasion, Creepox decides to take matters into his own hands and travels to Earth to destroy the Mega Rangers personally. He is successful in defeating Jake Holling, the Black Ranger, Gia Moran, the Yellow Ranger, and Noah Carver, the Blue Ranger, with Emma Goodall staying behind to take care of the former two who were defeated first. But his arch-rival, the Megaforce Red Rangers, Troy Burrows, ultimately defeats him after an even and lengthy battle. Vrak is surprised and upset the Rangers could defeat him and summoned the Zombats to turn Creepox into a colossus. He is only defeated, and only just, by the equally strong Ultra Gosei Great Megazord and its Ultra Mega Strike.

Legacy[]

Although deceased, Creepox continued to play a role in the season, as the Toxic Beasts replaced the Insectoids and their leaders, Bigs and Bluefur, took Creepox's place as Malkor's high generals. After they were defeated as well, Creepox was reminisced by Glytcher and its skill to see into the past as one of the foes the Megaforce had slain and ultimately by Malkor when he conversed with Vrak as to how unthinkable it was that their allies as well as the mighty royal weapon under Vrak's custody, the Aurora Box, had all been destroyed and how it was needed to complete the mission to conquer Earth before the Armada arrived.

Personality[]

Creepox was a ruthless, tyrannical, brutal and arrogant individual who would not stop at nothing to destroy the Mega Rangers and conquer the Earth for Warstar. He was an innate warrior who held a firm belief about ruling through strength. He was easily angered by even the most trivial matters and openly expresses his discontent to those around him, even towards Malkor and Vrak. Although utterly loyal to his leader, he was annoyed at how Vrak was favored by Admiral Malkor and had very little patience when it came to planning and scheming. He also had a deep-seeded, personal rivalry with Troy. His over-inflated ego also bore a superiority complex towards humans, constantly bragging about the superiority of the Insectoids and belittling the Rangers. These traits make him the polar opposite of his cohort, partner and rival, Vrak, who saw to things with intelligence and usually kept his cool even under severe pressure. Creepox was also highly and supremely arrogant and underestimated the Rangers, considering them weak, which ultimately caused his defeat.

Powers and Abilities[]

  • Power: Being one of the generals and leaders of the Warstar, Creepox was one the most powerful and dangerous enemies the Mega Rangers ever faced and possessed multiple supernatural powers and abilities.
  • Strength: A single swing of Creepox's pincers sent Jake and Gia flying into a warehouse and he soon pinned Gia and her Tiger Claw down with one pincer.
    • Rage Empowerment: Creepox could anger himself to trigger a brief but astonishing rise in power and skill.
  • Armor: Due to being covered in insect-like armour, Creppox shrugged off being shot in the chest by the Mega Blasters and even Troy's Sky Strike did nothing except for making him stumble back a little.
    • Extreme Resilience: Even without his armor, Creepox's skin was a natural armor immune against most attacks and provides him with ultimate durability, regardless of the circumstances.
  • Skilled Fighter: In addition to his incredible raw strength, Creepox was also a skilled fighter since he easily managed to dodge all of the Rangers' attacks and subdue them.
  • Extraordinary Leaper: Creepox could leap incredible distances with single bounds.
  • Super Speed: Creepox could move extremely fast for short periods of time, using such short bursts to rapidly trounce and catch an adversary by surprise during battle.
  • Fireballs: Creepox could force energy in front of him to form a large fireball, and then launch the fireball at his opponents directly in front of him. The orb was extremely hot and could not be blocked by anything for long.
    • All Out Fireballs: Creepox could summon many fireballs from around himself and launch them at the enemy.
    • Fireball Meteors: Creepox could launch a fireball into the sky to rain down multiple fireballs like meteors.
  • Energy Deflection: Creepox could deflect any energy-based attacks with ease.
  • Agility: Creepox was able to move quick enough to dodge any attacks, allowing him to avert damage through fast collisions.
  • High Stamina: Creepox could continue to fight for long periods of time without tiring out, which enabled him to outlast those against him if overpowering them is not an immediate option.

Arsenal[]

  • Mantis Scythes: Creepox's main weapons were the sickles attached to his forearms which were extremely sharp and could be kept or become even more sharpened by slicing against one another.
    • Meteor Shots: Creepox's signature attack where he drew his scythe arms in a circle around each other to generate a fireball that he would fling forth. Just one of these was powerful enough to knock down and critically injure Jake and Gia and a barrage of these broke through Noah's water shield in under a minute.
      • Galaxy Meteor Shot: A stronger version of his Meteor Shot ability used when he was enlarged where he could point forth his scythe arms to generate a large galaxy-like orb of purple energy that would turn into a fireball for him to fling forth. A barrage of these took down the Gosei Great Megazord.
      • Final Burst: Creepox's strongest attack where he could focus all of his energy into a single pink flaming orb that splits into five pieces, directing it with his scythe arms, and then launch them at the enemy. It rivaled or exceeded any countering technique and is enough to (temporarily) counter the Ultra Gosei Great Megazord's Ultra Mega Strike.
    • Energy Cutters: Creepox could launch dark orange and black energy cutters from his scythes.
    • Energy Slashes: Creepox could charge up his scythes with red or black energy and then release energy slashes of either color across the screen. One energy slash knocked down Gia and Jake.
    • Shockwaves: Creepox could release small, but strong fiery shock-waves from his scythe arms whenever they came into contact with other people.
    • Fireballs: Creepox could launch fireballs from his scythes as well.
    • Lightning Ball: Creepox was able to charge up his scythes with purple colored lightning and fire a purple lightning ball from it.
