“ | Yeah, CrewCrew's coming at you. Say it twice, don't forget it. Y'all better catch up to where we're at. You're behind the times. Can't compete with our dope rhymes. So you better say your goodbyes. We got François, Blitz Comet, V-Tron, the Jersey kid, on the beats. You know we rock. Then Demel-Ishun, the dopest girl on the mic. And Alpha-Dog, I bark the truth, my verses be all nice and tight. So now you know who we are. CrewCrew is the crew shining brighter than a quazar. But you're bizarre. Yes, you sir, are a loser. So cover up that freakish dome and head back home and take your poems. | „ |
~ Alpha-Dog introducing CrewCrew to Pops and insulting him. |
CrewCrew are the main antagonists of the Regular Show episode "Rap It Up". They are a rap group that insults and battles Pops.
The three main rappers are Alpha-Dog, Blitz Comet and Demel-Ishun, who are respectively voiced by real-life rappers Childish Gambino, Tyler, the Creator and MC Lyte.
History[]
CrewCrew first appears at the Park's Snack Bar, where they are having rap battles with the people there. A rapper known as Big Trouble, who battles CrewCrew every week and always loses to them, challenges them to another rap battle and is defeated by Blitz Comet. Pops, mistaking their rapping for normal poetry, shares a poem of his own. Alpha-Dog, the leader of the group, introduces CrewCrew to Pops and makes fun of his style through a rap, upsetting Pops. CrewCrew calls Pops a loser, prompting him to challenge them to a rap battle. Later in the day, CrewCrew finds Pops performing poetry in the Park and laugh at and tease him again.
That night, Pops is losing to CrewCrew until Mordecai and Rigby come to support him. The three engage in a battle against CrewCrew and recite positive poetry instead of rapping; during the battle, both groups are able to bring the meaning of their words to life. After Rigby causes the word "show" to crush Demel-Ishun and Mordecai causes Blitz Comet to grow wings and fly off, Alpha-Dog begins taunting the trio with his rap, briefly turning Pops' head into a blimp and almost causing him to fly off. After Pops is saved by Mordecai, he performs one last poem before a red beam comes out of his chest, killing Alpha-Dog in an explosion.
