The Crime Bosses were the initial commanders of CRIME and major antagonists in the first 18 episodes of J.A.K.Q. Dengekitai. They are all ordinary mob bosses controlling parts of Japan who all serve under Boss Iron Claw.

History

In 1977, Boss Iron Claw and CRIME begin their efforts to establish the world's largest crime family in Tokyo with the CRIME leader first enlisting the help of the Tokyo Boss; head of Tokyo's underworld. After overseeing the sinking of the Earth Defence's aircraft carrier Sealand, the Tokyo Crime Boss is first seen reporting to Iron Claw but informs CRIME's leader of the set-backs caused by Daisuke Kujirai and the International Science Special Investigation Squad so is ordered to send Devil Killer to deal with the problem. After the Crime Monster is killed by the newly emerged J.A.K.Q. Dengekitai, the Tokyo Boss enlists the help of Devil Drill to test an extremely accurate shotgun but this scheme's failure leads Iron Claw to execute him for failing one too many times.

Afterwards, the Yokohama Boss first attempts to use the Commando Squad of brainwashed youths alongside Devil 'Mite and then a satellite laser guarded by Devil Gun to impress Iron Claw but is killed in the attempts. From then on, the majority of schemes are operated by a Crime Boss with their Crimers and a Crime Monster but each scheme fails and results in their deaths. Soon after the failure of the Spy Boss, Crime Boss Tomioka plots to overthrow Iron Claw and become leader of CRIME but is executed by his own underling Devil Amazon instead.

Eventually, after fifteen Crime Bosses and seventeen schemes fail, Iron Claw abandons the use of Crime Bosses altogether and begins using just Crimers and Crime Monsters. With the abandonment of Crime Monsters when Shine becomes involved in favor of Invader Robots, the Crime Bosses are rendered obsolete anyway but what happened to the remaining Crime Bosses after this, if there were any, is unknown.
