Crimson is a major antagonist in the dark fantasy, action light novel, manga, and anime series The Eminence in Shadow. He was the Crimson Tower's true monarch at Lawless City. Aiming to reastablish control over the world for the he and his species, the vampires, over the world.
He is voiced by Tomokazu Sugita in Japanese and by Dickie Sanders in English.
Appearance[]
Crinson is a towering and robust male vampire, boasts a stern yet striking visage. His red hair is slicked from the middle to both sides, framing bloodshot eyes and a complexion slightly pallid. Adorned in a sweeping dark gown, accented with gold designs and featuring a collar of crimson color and exudes an aura of elegance. A white ruffled tie adorns his attire, complemented by the embellishment of a necklace of dark red.
Personality[]
Crimson passionately embraced the notion of vampire superiority, holding contempt for individuals he deemed lesser and subservient. His hostility towards humanity originated from their exploitation of vampire vulnerabilities, which nearly led to the annihilation of his kind. Consequently, he aspired to global dominance, viewing humanity as nothing more than possessions. Nevertheless, Crimson exhibited no issue to even betray and only exploit the others of his kind to further his goals, particularly Elisabeth, by influencing her through methods he disdained in humans. Additionally, when confronted by Shadow, he begged for leniency, exposing that beneath his facade of strength and arrogance resided a bully who crumbled when met with resistance.
Biography[]
Elisabeth's second subordinate, Crimson, once served under Mary, harboring a desire to revive the Vampire race's former glory. Humans, discovering their vulnerabilities, had nearly eradicated them. Disillusioned with Elisabeth's vision of a harmonious coexistence between humans and vampires, Crimson plotted rebellion. He sought to rally like-minded vampires to overthrow Elisabeth, utilizing the power of the Progenitor. During a fateful encounter, Crimson spiked Elisabeth's meal with human blood, triggering a violent rampage under the influence of the Red Moon. Exploiting the chaos, he led a bloody uprising, decimating three nations along with their civilians in just a course of three days. Afterward, Crimson plotted to revive the Progenitor, entrusting Elisabeth's body to Mary while sparing her life in gratitude. Establishing the Crimson Tower, he transformed the once-"Haven" city into a den of depravity, biding his time for the Progenitor's return. To consolidate power, Crimson orchestrated terror campaigns, keeping Elisabeth as a figurehead while concealing her true state. He vanquished the White Demon, forcing servitude as guardian of the Crimson Tower, ensuring none would uncover his secrets.
