~ Cristiana Alcott to her jury, after her attorney commits suicide. |
Saintess Cristiana Alcott is the overarching antagonist in the manga series The Hero Who Seeks Revenge Shall Exterminate With Darkness.
A former member of Raul Evans' party, she too was a factor in his betrayal and a major target of his revenge. As revealed later, when it was shown to be her who let loose the inhibitions and desires of several of Raul's former allies, unleashing the depravity of Princess Victoria, setting the events leading to Raul's revenge in motion, making her one of the perps most responsible for the story's origins.
Biography[]
Cristiana is a nubile woman shown to be proficient with Holy Magic, taking on a cleric/priestess like-role in Raul Evans' party, and is introduced as one of the individuals who betrayed him.
Cristiana was shown to've been bequeathed a great power by the debauched Goddess of Love years ago when she was a young girl. having been blessed with the power of "Holy Magic" by the deity in her dreams ever since she was a child.
However, Christiana was soon shown to've be corrupted and warped by having such a power even as a stripling.
Coming to the depraved belief that it was her duty to "save" others by removing all their morals (this is described as dampening their inhibitions controlling lust, but some cases are not shown to be sexual in nature).
Initially appearing smiling at Raul's execution, she reappears during Victoria's final defeat at Sandra Davis' attempted execution. As a saint's purification magic is powerful against those who have fallen to darkness and corruption, Victoria believes her to be the secret weapon she can use to defeat the returned Raul Evans, only to discover to her horror that the King has written off his only daughter as a liability and that Cristiana will not protect her, showing her loyalty to the crown as opposed to the princess. During this whole affair, it is also revealed that Cristiana is largely responsible for almost the entirety of the conflict of the plot, having used her holy magic to release Victoria's (among other individuals) darkest inclinations upon Raul. While she did not commit suicide it aggregated Victoria's lust to extreme levels, causing the reviled aristocrat to plot making Raul hers by plotting of his downfall.
After an absence from the majority of the story is is revealed that due to growing accusations following the public reveal of her brainwashing the former princess, Christiana is shown to be imprisoned and awaiting trial. The King uses several high ranking monsters & demons in an attempt to coerce a confession from the sexually overcharged woman, but Cristiana is shown to have immensely enjoyed the experience. Having willingly engaged with the monsters in sexual activities before killing them off with her spell of purification. As Raul visits her, Ms. Alcott is seen having an orgy with several guards in prison, greeting Raul as if nothing had happened and showing happiness in seeing him.
When talking with Raul it is revealed that Christiana's life of corruption began in her earliest years: as a simple village spraglette (not even a teenager) she encountered General Brown, using her magic to remove his decency after telling him to be honest with himself, getting the general to "accept his impulses and indulge in as much as he wants," assuring him it was OK as she heard the Lord's voice. It is heavily implied this is what drove Brown to start engaging in outright sadism, torture, even outright cannibalism. An older Cristiana is also shown to've cast her spell over Wendell, encouraging him to pursue his desire to see Raul's face contorted in pain and anguish as opposed to suppressing it for the sake of appearances. Cristiana does not deny any of this, only remaining cheerful with Raul, and acknowledging it is now her turn to tie into his revenge without any fear whatsoever, only asking her former leader what he has planned for her.
During her trial, more of Christiana Alcott's past atrocities are shown in full detail. Her aunt reveals her nieces first known victims were her own parents, who went about murdering their neighbors whom often spoke in private fear of Cristiana, before immolating themselves alongside several others whom were they're victims. Cristiana's horrified aunt found the young child (around the same age as when encountering Brown) laughing and rejoicing at the sight of her own parents burning, claiming that they could now be happy. A soldier testifies he found his allies indulging in her flesh before they all began killing one-another, while Cristiana was engaging in sex with a dead man (or one near death) and even exclaimed her orgasm during the carnage around her. Finally, a priest testifies that Cristiana once corrupted the fiancée of a prince, causing her to engage in multiple affairs to the point where the once pure daffodil ended up withered & haggard, eventually becoming pregnant with a bastard child of one of her flings. The prince went insane and murdered her, the entire royal family following shortly before himself when he turned the blade on his own broken heart, causing many to leave the country and driving the entirety of the domain under it purview into ruin.
Cristiana whole-heartedly embraces everything she has done, making zero attempt to defend herself. To the princess she argues that she felt restrained by her court life and wanted to be "free for once." granting her liberation-salvation. With her family, she argues that her mom & dad died with euphoric looks and happiness, going as far as to call it the family's "happiest moment." Christiana claims the soldiers were happy as well, bemoaning that the testifying soldier should have joined them and that it was "her first time connecting to them in a massive sea of blood," and that the memory alone aroused her. She then creates a bold claim that everything she did was for the sake of the salvation of the people, proclaiming herself to be the most holy existence in the planet chosen by God. She elaborates that everyone else is a foolish sinner who continues to sin just by existing, but claims if it would absolve everyone else's sins that she would gladly die for the populace, much to their disgust.
Despite the overwhelming testimony that Cristiana did not even attempt to argue against, her lawyer manages to successfully defend her by claiming all her victims died of suicide by their own desire as opposed to being brainwashed by Holy Magic and successfully deflecting all blame from Cristiana to her now deceased victims due to a lack of physical evidence. Raul presents his own evidence by presenting the barely alive Princess Victoria who was nailed to a cross and is swarmed by dozens of insects. Her lawyer is left shocked and horrified at the fact that the former princess is somehow still alive in her current state. Raul claims that Victoria still has traces of Cristiana’s magic, which proves that she had her inhibitors released like the other witnesses claimed happened to people they once knew. Her lawyer attempts to defend Cristiana by having a magician examine Victoria’s body to disprove Raul’s claim, however not only does the magician prove Raul’s claim, he also confesses all of the lawyer’s misdeeds. He reveals that the lawyer had been bribing him to help him win dozens of trials, solely for the profit they would make from said trials. The lawyer believing that Raul had used his own magic to mess with the examiner’s mind, calls in another to check him and she to his shock says that there is no trace of Raul’s magic on him. In truth, the lawyer was indeed correct, Raul had indeed not only messed with the mage’s mind, but with every examiner that the lawyer called over. As he knew that the lawyer would try to cheat him, so he decided to do the same.
Backed into a corner Cristiana's lawyer begs her for help by testifying against the evidence, and has a breakdown as he realizes that his legal career and reputation as a lawyer will end. In this state he begs Cristiana to save her, who immediately responds by using her Holy Magic on him: through the influence of Cristiana's Holy Magic he commits suicide while laughing by jumping out a window and falling to his death, claiming he is invincible: in dying during the trail, he has technically not been defeated in court, and dies happily. Cristiana joyfully asks the jury if they understand the significance of her salvation now, showing disappointment when they clearly are still disgusted, and happily accepts her execution saying she will accept the burden of dying for everyone else's sins.
When taken to burn at the stake she apologizes to the crowd, claiming she wished to grant each individual salvation, but says not to worry as she will atone for their sins with her death. She is crucified instead of only tied to a stake, moaning in sexual pleasure as the nails are driven through her wrists and feet, and shows even more pleasure once she is burned, happy she can now enter God's domain. Even as the crowd shows anger at her not being in suffering, Cristiana only shows what appears to be sexual pleasure and happiness as she is burned alive, denying those who would wish her harm satisfaction until she's a blackened crisp.
Raul retrieves the cross with the saint still nailed to it later in the evening, claiming it is time for the "real show to begin", and that she must properly face her crimes despite her current state. Raul placed the burnt Cristiana to his collection of his killed victims (such as the dissected Victoria, the beheaded Sandra, the zombified Dr. Beneke and what's remaining of General Brown) except for head priest Gustalf (who was burnt alive along with his fellow priests by Raul, for gangraping his older sister to death). However, he was attacked by the Demon Princess Theodora for her vengeance upon Raul for murdering her elder sister the Demon Lord.
After Raul's death by Theodora, Raul had the goddess create a special carriage that can transport anyone to hell. Raul arrived while Cristiana was waiting to see if she would be allowed to go to heaven or sent to hell, she was surprised by his presence but he assured her that he was only there to take her on a date like he promised when they were traveling together. Cristiana gleefully agreed to go on a date, despite the fact that their date would have them traveling to hell. After getting in the carriage they both rode to hell, where Raul would begin his next step to finally get his revenge on his former friend and companion. Raul had the carriage fly around hell where it had seven different areas, each modeled and named after the seven deadly sins.
Raul first showed her some men who were being tortured at the first deadly sin, he asks Cristiana if she recognized them, at first she didn’t but slowly but surely she did. Raul reminded her by showing her images of when she had group sex with them, she assured them that doing this would grant them salvation. But Cristiana denied knowing them, Raul expecting this showed her around each of the seven deadly sins, each filled with people that she had sex with, manipulated, or had killed in some way. As they moved from one deadly sin to another, Cristiana began wavering as she was seeing firsthand what her actions had brought upon so many innocent people. Cristiana was still being stubborn as she believed that this was all a trick, until Raul caused her to realize that she was wavering and she saw for herself that all this was the true form of her “salvation”. For the final blow Raul brings her to the deadly sin Greed, where there is a bridge where people were forced to walk across, but would never get to the other side as a Minotaur would knock them into the river of lava below, burning them alive before being resurrected to start all over again. When they arrive, Raul asks if she recognizes the next two people about to cross the bridge and she does: it is her mother and father!
Cristiana at first shocked and in disbelief, tells Raul that this must be some trick. But to prove that it isn’t he has the carriage land next to the bridge, where Cristiana meets her parents face to face. To her shock they immediately recognize her, she in utter disbelief could not understand nor comprehend why her own parents would end up in hell of all places. But her thoughts were abruptly interrupted by her parents grabbing her, angered that they had been sent to hell because of her. Cristiana had her parents kill innocents that got in her way and had assured her parents that they would be given salvation and sent to heaven, but instead they ended up in hell. But Cristiana startled pushed her own parents off the bridge into the river of lava below burning them alive, after which in her delusional state believed that the Goddess was still on her side, Raul however showed her the image of the goddess she worshiped to be no more than a whore and that all of this was possible because the goddess had done all this for him. Cristiana believing this to be some elaborate trick, prepared to attack Raul with her magic. But to her shock and disbelief she could not use her holy magic, she could not understand why she, who was chosen by the goddess could not use her magic. Raul admits that he himself did not expect this: that she could not use her holy magic in hell, Cristiana shocked could not and would not believe that.
However, Raul caused her to realize that without her holy magic she was no longer a Saintess, just a normal human. Cristiana devastated refused to believe this as she was the saintess chosen by the goddess, however Raul reminded her of the strange circumstances of her death. Why was she put through a witch trial if she was regarded as a saintess? Why would she be tied up and burned alive at the stake like a witch? Did she not find any of this strange? Raul then reveals that he had orchestrated everything to have her killed so that he could take her to hell. This causes her to realize that everything she went through was because of her own actions, that she herself was a fool thinking that she was some almighty being, when she was not. Raul recreates her execution right before her eyes while laughing at her foolish actions, as she had actually expressed joy at being executed. Cristiana finally shows a new expression, one of embarrassment and shame as she was forced to realize that she was never a Saintess just a poor excuse of a human. Suddenly, all the souls of the people that were sent to hell because of her all emerge from the river of lava below, begging for her to help them, to grant them salvation.
Cristiana is grabbed at by all those people who in a desperate attempt to escape hell, nearly ended up dragging her into the lava. Cristiana terrified begs Raul for help, and he lowers a chain from the carriage for her to use. She grabs it and climbs, unfortunately for her the other people grab at it but she pushes them off as she wants to save herself and no one else. Raul asks her if that is worth enough for her to denounce her faith to the goddess, Cristiana desperate denounces her faith to the goddess. Suddenly the chain breaks, Cristiana shocked looks up at Raul who grins evilly stating that the chain was the proof of her faith to the goddess and now the chain along with her faith were broken. Cristiana devastated and terrified falls into the river of lava along with the other people, where she would go through never ending pain and suffering.
Cristiana along with several of Raul’s targets of revenge were brought in front of him by the God of Hell. He exclaimed that he was going to torment Raul by completely obliterating his targets of revenge from existence, meaning he would free them from their suffering. Cristiana after hearing this begged the god of hell to kill her first and he complied by seemingly eliminating her for good. But after Raul overpowered and nearly killed the god of hell with the god killing scythe that was brought to him by the Goddess of Love, he forced the god of hell to revive Cristiana. When she returned she was shocked as she was literally forced back to hell, it was then that Raul after having the god of hell give up his authority and domain, killed him completely with the god killing scythe.
It was then that Raul turned his attention to the Goddess of Love, Cristiana after seeing her in person was shocked to see what type of being her master was. However the goddess ignored her and turned her attention to Raul but he did not care for her, despite the fact that she did so much for him. Raul then revealed her treachery and how she had simply used Cristiana and anyone else that she bestowed her power to for her own selfish gains. Unsurprisingly, she turned out to be the same type of person as Cristiana as she only helped men who she found attractive so that she could have sex with them later. The Goddess was revealed to have used Cristiana to turn Princess Victoria against Raul, at some point during Raul’s captivity she possessed Victoria’s body and used it to have sex with him. Cristiana was shocked and appalled after learning that she was no more than a pawn used by her master, and that everything she did was orchestrated by the goddess all along.
Raul then left the goddess to be violated by a dirty looking orc, who after “finishing” with her, ended up killing her and burying her body. Raul then left a minion of hell in charge of the realm, as he still had unfinished business in the world of the living. Cristiana tried in vain to beg for Raul’s help, but he did not want to hear it as Cristiana and the others still committed evil deeds against him, his allies, subordinates, and the innocent. Raul left Cristiana and the others in hell to suffer for their actions and left satisfied.
Personality[]
“ | Everyone, I am sorry! Truthfully, I wished to grant each and everyone of you salvation... But please do not worry! I will atone for everyone's sins now with my death! | „ |
~ Cristiana's warped personality, showing even as she's about to die. |
Even in a manga filled with morally bankrupted individuals, Cristiana stands out as uniquely deranged and zealous due to her religious faith that Christiana seems to earnestly believe in.
She initially appears to be a reasonable young saint, pleading with Raul that she did not betray him, but once Raul points out that he knows what she did makes no further attempts to hide her true personality. This implied that at least on some level that Cristiana knows she must keep up some degree of public appearances (Raul did not seem to suspect her until his betrayal, implying she kept true self in-check during their adventure to defeat the Demon King) so that others do not expect her true self. Combined with her desire for others to understand her salvation, it appears that Christiana on a day-to-day level keeps up the appearance of a proper saint.
Possessing Holy Magic from a very young age appears to have warped her entirely, believing that by releasing the inhibitions of others it will grant them deliverance, no matter how much pain or suffering it brings around her. Unlike most other villains in Hero Who Seek Revenge who justify or hide their actions with hypocrisy, dementia and general apathetic self-importance, Ms. Alcott comes about it completely honestly. Cristiana's testimony in court shows that she sincerely does not believe she did anything wrong. Even though it has lead to mass suicides, casualties (Brown's number of victims appear to be in the triple digits), and even the collapse of an entire kingdom; Christiana staunchly appears to be convinced that she is in the right. Not appearing to be lying that her convictions of being the most holy existence in the planet, earnestly boasting that she saved everyone who died because of her that they died happily. Cristiana seems to be earnestly convinced that others should let go of all their inhibitions and act upon their inner most urges, regardless if it is sexual in nature or not. Cristiana even appeared to be truly, genuinely excited and heaped upon her attorney's death that the jury and crowd would understand her "salvation" after seeing it first-hand, viewing their dismissal of such undertakings seems to have been the only thing that truly upset her before her death, dismissing them as foolish and sinful. While not viewing herself as God, it can be inferred that Christiana has a messiah complex that she must fulfill, even comparing her death for her crimes as instead atoning for all of humanity's sins, as she can do no wrong.
Cristiana is completely defined by her desire to save others through her methods, and unlike many of the other revenge targets in the story does not appear to take sadistic pleasure in it, instead feeling genuinely and truly happy for those she was able to "save" even if it killed them as part of her holy mission. Despite being non-canon in an omake chapter Christiana states her desire for Raul to be happy after all he has suffered, which falls in-line with her general personality. Cristiana sincerely does not appear to understand why others do not accept or acknowledge her salvation, instead dismissing them entirely. As such, in what is perhaps the most disturbing aspect of her beliefs, she truly believes every word she says and believes that her victims were better off dying in such horrific ways as they were able to let go of all inhibitions as they died, and while disappointed does not appear to hold scorn or anger for those not understanding her.
Cristiana despite everything has a very friendly, bubbly demeanor, in stark contrast with the horror of her actions. Even when disobeying the princess she treats it a joke, at one point sticking out her tongue and playfully bonking her own head before handing a paper to Victoria. When standing trial for her crimes and her name is stated, she simply replies "OK!" with a big smile, and at worst seemed slightly annoyed in the process and puffed her cheek playfully as she explains how she "saved" her victims. Even despite ruining his adult life and prompting the betrayals against him she greets Juan solely like a friend, never cowering or showing resentment, even asking him what revenge he has in store for her. Other than very briefly when the crowd rejects her claim of salvation, Cristiana is never shown to be in a distressed or bad mood. Even when seeing the horrific state of the still-alive Princess (immobile, nailed to a cross with countless insects eating her alive in a state far more horrific than dying) she remarked on the princess's beauty.
Cristiana is incredibly lustful and an extreme masochist. When faced with sexual violence at the hands of monsters, she happily indulges sexually with the powerful monsters before slaughtering them easily. She engages in an orgy with the guards in her cell, and made several sexual advanced towards Raul as well despite everything he had done to him. Most disturbing of all, as the soldiers killed one-another, Cristiana either had sex with a dead man's erection or was having sex with a man very close to death. Right before she is sentenced to death she expresses a desire that she wished she could have saved everyone there while groping herself and making a sexual expression. Cristiana's visual expressions when crucified are undeniably sexual as she's impaled through the wrists and feet, and she moans in pleasure during the impalements. Even when set on blaze she seems to gain sexual pleasure, describing it as lovely, asking for more, begging for the fires to "mess her up deep inside her," and exclaiming with her last words that it feels amazing.
In all, Cristiana is shown to be an incredibly depraved, self-righteous, delusional, hypocritical individual with sheer egoistic issues, even in early childhood who has happily killed all her life in the name of salvation, utterly demented in her belief's and dismissing all who cannot understand her as foolish sinners from the bottom of her heart despite her desire to save them.
Cristiana’s emotions were shown to be wavering as she saw for herself what her actions had brought about. Raul took her to hell where she saw all the innocent people that she had granted “salvation” to, going through literal hell because of her actions. She stuck to her delusional belief until Raul took her to her parents which broke her even more as she could not understand why her own parents would end up in hell. She completely broke when she learned that she could no longer use holy magic as she ended up in hell, which meant she was no longer a Saintess but a normal human. Cristiana was left embarrassed and in shame as Raul reminded her that her actions during her execution was not of a Saintess, but of a common whore. Cristiana’s true personality was shown when she was about to be pulled into a pool of lava, she pushed away other people who were trying to climb up a chain that Raul gave her to pull herself up. She denounced her faith to the goddess which caused the chain to snap as it was tied to her faith, the moment she pushed away her faith she sealed her fate. Cristiana plunged into the river of lava below, where she would experience never ending pain and suffering.
Powers and Abilities[]
“ | And then the Saintess very handily took down those high-grade monsters. I don't know the truth behind what happened, but it was a delightful spectacle. Holy Magic truly is troublesome, is it not? | „ |
~ The King to Raul on Christiana's abilities. |
“ | I have a saint with me. Those who have fallen to the darkness are weak against a saint's purification magic. Even though I despise saints, let's take advantage of them for my own sake. In the end, you are no more than someone I will play with and crush in my hands once I am bored! | „ |
~ Princess Victoria's confidence in Cristiana as a weapon. |
- Holy Magic: While never shown truly fighting, Cristiana is a master of Holy Magic, apparently having possessed it since childhood and refining it her entire life. With this power, when compared to a traditional RPG team, she appears to have fulfilled a cleric-like position, and was powerful enough to join the hero's party to defeat the Demon King. Although her full abilities are not explored (nor fully shown what Holy Magic truly is) Victoria was confidant that Cristiana could defeat Raul, and despite her numerous crimes the King personally assigned her the best lawyer in the Kingdom upon seeing her power in the hopes of keeping her alive in service to the Kingdom.
- Brainwashing/Inhibition Loosening: The most notable, defining way that Cristiana tends to use her magic is by using it to remove the inhibitions of others. When this is done, her victims begin to seemingly lose themselves in their desires and inhibitions. Brown gave into his suppressed urges to hurt others and engage in cannibalism, Wendell stopped holding back his desire to see Raul in pain, and Victoria became determined to corrupt and defile Raul. In many cases this power often leads to her targets committing suicide, often doing so happily, smiling, and laughing as they indulge in their desires even as they die. While this is described by Raul as unleashing one's lust, it does not appear to always be sexual in nature nor doe it always result in death: her parent's death, the death of her lawyer, Brown's depravity, and Wendell's sadism did not appear to be sexual in nature for any of them, nor did the later two commit suicide (although succumbing to these desires would ultimately result in their deaths). While often resulting in mass death, it appears to be up to the individual if they chose to die or not.
- Immobilizing: Christiana had, at one time, used her Holy magic to entrap and bind Dame Sandra in place while she cast her spell over Princess Victoria. The locking was so strong that even the head knight of chivalry could not free themselves from her imprisonment hex.
- Purification: It is stated that a saint's Holy Magic is very powerful against beings of darkness or those who have corrupted and fallen the path of evil. After engaging in sex with several non-humanoid monsters much larger than her Cristiana effortlessly kills them with seemingly no effort despite the King referring to them as "high-ranking" monsters, which impresses him enough to try to keep her from facing justice to keep her power in service to him. Victoria also seems to have been confidant enough to wish to use her as a weapon, fully believing she could defeat Raul despite his incredible power. It is possible that due to Raul being a being of darkness that Cristiana might have been able to defeat him, and notably she is the only one of his victims he did not fight.
- Extreme Masochist: Cristiana is shown to be able to receive pleasure from even the most horrific injuries, moaning in pleasure as she's nailed to a cross and seemingly receiving ecstasy even when being burned alive. As an adventurer, it seems to not be possible to ware her down or inflict meaningful pain upon her, which is likely a reason that Raul did not attempt a traditional revenge on her. As an adventurer, the ability to shrug off pain would likely be a very useful one.
Trivia[]
- The text has a tendency to alternate between the spellings of "Cristiana" and "Christiana" sometimes even alternating between the two spellings pages apart in chapters. However, "Cristiana" is the spelling most often used by the text, and Cristiana is a real given name whereas Christiana is not often used as a name. As of this moment, there is no official localization of this manga, and thus no official spelling.
- Cristiana is the only target of Raul's revenge to not be physically overpowered or tortured by him, instead having to leave it entirely up to the legal system to defeat her. Furthermore, she is the only revenge target who does not despair for even a moment, happily accepting her fate until the last moment. It is possible due to her advanced Holy Magic that she might have potentially defeated Raul and thus he could not fight her, although this is not confirmed.
- Given the extreme nature of Raul's healing magic, able to keep even Victoria alive despite being eaten by wolves and insects and judging by his dialogue when retrieving her corpse, it is likely he wishes to break her another way. Otherwise, she is the only target of Raul's revenge to never be broken, albeit dead.
- Cristiana is the only target of Raul’s revenge to be taken down in another realm as he knew that torturing and killing her would have no effect. He had himself purposely killed so that he could meet Cristiana in the afterlife and take her to hell, where he would complete his revenge against her.
- Cristiana is very similar to the Saintess Irina from the series Koibito wo Netorare, Yuusha Party kara Tsuihou sareta kedo, EX Skill "Kotei Damage" ni Mezamete Muteki no Sonzai ni. Saa, Fukushuu wo Hajimeyou (My Lover Was Stolen, and I Was Kicked Out of the Hero’s Party, but I Awakened to the EX Skill “Fixed Damage” and Became Invincible. Now, Let’s Begin Some Revenge).
- Both are corrupt Saintesses.
- Both betrayed their former friend or loved one.
- Both used their bodies for their own selfish goals.
- Both were responsible for their former friend or loved one’s near death/death, which ironically caused them to return overpowered.
- Cristiana released all of the people’s inhibitors, which caused the Princess to execute Raul for rejecting her, this however allowed him to meet the goddess and have her unleash his hidden black magic.
- Irina left Chrome to die after conducting a ritual that gave the hero Yuno more power, however she had unknowingly given him access to the power of darkness, which enabled him to become immensely powerful within two years.
- Both were stripped of their power as a saintess by their former friend or loved one.
- Cristiana was taken to hell by Raul which caused her to lose her powers as a saintess as holy magic did not work in hell.
- Irina was turned into a monster by Chrome and was left to wander the land fighting other monsters, this resulted in her losing access to her blessings.
- Both of them were left to suffer by their former friend or loved one.
- Cristiana was left to suffer in hell, as those who were sent to hell would suffer forever in pain and anguish.
- Irina was turned into a monster by Chrome and was left to wander the land, either hunting or being hunted by other heroes or adventurers.
